I have Joseph being born in 1862 in St. Martin, MN. The last name could have just as easily been spelled the way you do in this post. I'm really trying to find more information on the family. i have my family tree, and you can look to see if this matches your family.

Margaret was the 6th child of John and Elizabeth (Heinen) blonigen
I have a wonderfully assembled Blonigen family tree (for which I can claim no credit)
which lists an additional 3 generations and far more info than can be put in this reply
