Hi,

how sure are you about the names and dates?

I did a search on the Swedish emigration DVD EMIBAS and I found the following, which is a match to Nelson (probably named Nils in Sweden) but the dates and names for his parents doesn't match.

This is what I found

Johannes Nilsson Blom, b. 9 APR 1803 in Hultsjö, Jönköpings län, Småland
Gustafva Gustafsdotter, b. 9 OCT 1808 in Näsby, Jönköpings län, Småland

Their children:
Samuel, b. 29 OCT 1832 in Hultsjö, Jönköpings län, Småland
Carl Johan, b. 14 SEP 1840 in Stockaryd, Jönköpings län, Småland
Matilda, b. 1 OCT 1844 in Stockaryd, Jönköpings län, Småland
Nils August, b. 11 APR 1847 in Stockaryd, Jönköpings län, Småland

The family emigrated 1857 from Stigåsa Östra, Stockaryd, Jönköpings län, Småland to the US.

Carl could have been changed to Charles.
