Mortimer Weldon Bloom (the son of John Bloom & Lucy Smith) was born September 26, 1854 in Peoria, Peoria, Illinois, and died January 27, 1922 in Halfway, Oregon. He married Isudora Elizabeth Meisenheimer April 23, 1874 in Clay County, Ilinois, daughter of Isaac Meisenheimer and Frances Morefield. She was born March 11, 1856 in Xenia, Clay County, Illinois, and died February 23, 1937 in Halfway, Oregon.
Children of Mortimer Bloom and Isudora Meisenheimer are:
1. Claude Bloom, born April 21, 1876; died April 21, 1876.
2. Charles Fredrick Bloom, born April 22, 1877 in Cove, Union, Oregon; died September 08, 1942 in Portland, Multinomah, Oregon. He married June Helen Phay October 10, 1901 in Halway, Oregon ; born June 14, 1884 in Marshalltown, Marshall, Iowa; died October 23, 1952 in Enumclaw, King, Washington. They had two children: Thelma Phay and Velma Vernetta. (This is my direct line, through their daughter Thelma, my paternal grandmother)
3. Ethel Belle Bloom, born April 22, 1877 in Cove, Union County, Oregon; died April 03, 1944 in Boise, Ada County, Idaho. She married Ola Marion Bacheler Abt. 1895 in Probably Oregon, maybe Idaho; born September 19, 1877 in Trout Creek, Malhuer, Oregon; died September 18, 1923 in Triangle, Owyhee, Idaho. They had four children: Ruby Mae, Inez Maude, Basil Burgess and Dora.
4. Eva Bloom, born May 27, 1879 in Cove, Union, Oregon; died March 10, 1886.
5. Nellie Bloom, born August 27, 1879 in Cove, Union, Oregon; died January 29, 1917. She married William Foreman; born Abt. 1879 in Estimated birthdate based on spouses birthdate. They had two boys: Ned and Roy.
6. Alva Oscar Bloom, born October 27, 1887 in Cove, Union, Oregon; died December 12, 1950 in Carson, Oregon. He married Eva Viola Evans May 18, 1913 in Baker County, Oregon; born September 29, 1890 in Cuba, Missouri; died May 1974 in Oregon. They had four children: Albert W., Emma Evelyn, Bud Evans and Floyd Oscar.
7. Berges B. Bloom (Bert), born January 25, 1889 in California; died February 04, 1957 in Oregon. He married Martha Black 1914 in Oregon; born Abt. 1893 in Kansas; died Aft. 1972. They had two children: Richard W., and Donald Floyd.
8. Cora Bloom, born July 19, 1892; died July 25, 1917 in Suicide (according to my Great Aunt Velma). She married Ed English. They had one child: Erma Irene.
9. Arthur Bryan Bloom, born March 02, 1897 in Delmar, Idaho; died January 29, 1938 in Oregon. He married Luella Thompson 1923 in Baker County, Oregon; died Aft. January 29, 1938. They had four children: Frances Marion,
Anna May, Ellen Berden and Wanda Lee.
