Surnames: bloomfield biraben ellis
Does anyone know about the above Bloomfields. Seemed to live mostly in Croydon, South London. Edward John was father of John Arthur who was the father of Barrie and sister Betty. Barrie was born with the name Biraben Ellis on his birth certificate in 1925 - took on his mothers name until Barrie was married in 1962, then reverted back to Bloomfield. When John Arthur married in 1930, was living at 96 Sutherland Road, Croydon. The family also lived in Caterham for a time. Barrie's mother or g/mother was a famous dressmaker in London. Any clues from across the pond are welcomed. Have not researched yet, wanted to see if I could strike it lucky!
