I am seeking any information on the family of my grandfather born April 5, 1897 in Kersey, Pa (Elk Co.). I think his parents were Olaf and Jennie Johnson Bloomquist. They apparenly moved from Kersey to Kane (McKean Co) around 1900.

GEORGE EVERETT BLOOMQUIST 1910 - 1983

I am looking for information about my grandmother’s cousin, George Everett Bloomquist. His first name can also be spelled as George E, or just George. He was born in Plymouth, Massachusetts on 1910, 30 May and also died there in 1983, 27 December.
His Social Security Number are: 136-03-3507. State (Year) SSN issued: New Jersey (Before 1951).

On Census 1930 he was living at his parents in Brockton, Plymouth, Massachusetts. His parents name were Selma (Gustafson) Bloomquist (my great grandmothers sister), and Emil Bloomquist, both were born in Sweden.

George got his SSN in New Jersey some time beetween 1930 and 1951, so that is possible that he lived, worked, got married and had children etc. there, and moved back to MA as an old man. Or maybe he lived in MA all of his life and only worked and spended some time in New Jersey. He could have lived in any state beetween 1930 and 1983, but I assume in MA or New Jersey.

George also had an older brother: Henry Alexander Bloomquist, born 1904, 9 March. I would be glad to find information about him to, but unfortunately somebody told me that he maybe died as a young man?

I would be very happy to get in touch with Georges children, grandchildren or other relatives.
Or if someone would find a marriage certificate, birth certificate or any record, to let me know the name of his wife and children, or where George was living and doing beetween 1930 and 1983?

Her name was Catherine maiden name of Lemeaux (Lamaux, Lemeaux, Lemieuax) 1st husband was James Benton, They lived in Orr Minn. during the 1940's. My father is Joseph Victor McCallister b. 11/23/1932, and his younger brother is Harvey Leray McCallister b. 1934. They were born in Pasadena, California to FNU Bloomquist and Mary Freeby. They were adopted by Mary McGehee and Leonard O. McCallister. The McCallister's moved them to Albuquerque, New Mexico and raised them. My father died in 1969 (Vietnam) and my uncle is still alive, but is not inclined to talk about talk about his Bloomquist heritage. I am interested in finding Daddy's family and their roots. Looking for a Harold (Slim) Bloomquist who was engaged to a Carrie Whittaker in Roseburg, Oregon in 1934. I'm hoping to find out more about Carrie, if Harold is still around. Or maybe his family might have information on Carrie.

Carrie was my aunt and all I know is from her obituary where it was mentioned she was engaged to Harold. I've seen his last name spelled with one "O" and with two "OO"s.

Looking for information on Mathilda Caroline Fryksdol b: 1852 in Nake, Sweden. She married Gustaf "Gust' Larson Bloomquist. b: 1847 in Orebro, Sweden. I am searching for a MRS. Charles Bloomquist - daughter of Samual and Anna Halverson. Samual and Anna both came from Norway, lived a while in Minnesota and then both died in Wisconsin, Vernon County. They had 3 children - Henry, and Mrs. Charles Bloomquist and Mrs. Charles Anderson. I have no idea about the girls names - and would like to find them or descendents...thanks

Mrs. Bloomquist Gets Letter from Helsinki
A letter dated November 19 arrived this week for Mrs. Axel Bloomquist from her sister in Helsinki, Finland, after she had received no word from relatives in the Finnish capital for many weeks.

At the time of writing, her kinfolk had been ordered to evacuate, but would not leave their home, as they had no other place to go. Instead, they put paper over the windows, sandbags against the door and made the basement their living quarters..

Three of her nephews are in service in the Finnish army, Mrs. Bloomquist learns. One came home with a frozen face. They spoke of the white uniforms which they wear to make them less conspicuous on the snow.

With the letter, Mrs. Bloomquist received a book of pictures, showing among other things, the winter sports of Finland and the church, that she attended during the 25 years she lived in that country.

I'm not related to this person.

This is an update of my research on my gg grandmother with her correct spelling of her name. I have also located more information. Minnie was born in Pargas, Finland 6 Apr 1891 and her twin's name was Anna Vilhelmina. My ggg grandmother (Minnie & Anna's mother) Amanda Gustavo Blomqvist born 4 May 1865 in Piikkis (or Pikis/Piikkiö) and she had eight illegitimate children listed in Pargas (including the twins) when she moved to Kimito parish 6 Nov 1899 (children: Lydia Amanda Blomqvist Leivo (stayed in Pargas), Frans Matias, Fanny Augusta, Anna & Alexandra, Johannes Ferdinand (died in Pargas), Ellen Erika & Sigrid Amanda). Any info would be appreciated.

I am looking for my great grandmother who went by Minnie. She was born in Obo, Finland in 1891 and she had an indentical twin. We don't know the name of the twin or Minnie's mother, but the twins were separated at birth, one lived in Finland and the other (Minnie) lived in Sweden (don't know where). Minnie came to America in 1914 as an indentured servant working in a boarding house run by a Nannie Larsen (?) in Moline, Illinois. The boarding house was across the street from a Salvation Army building (present time the Salvation Army building is located in a different place). Minnie married Carl "Oscar" Ramberg, who worked at Strombeck ( a wood company that made handles & toys) then changed jobs to a company that did balancing of wheels in fans (don't know the name of company). My wife's grandfather was Andrew M. Bloomquist, born Feb 24, 1847 in Tenager, Helsingland, Sweden. He married Martha M. Oberg (born Aug 24, 1853, Sweden) in Boone, Iowa Mar 28, 1873. Andrew died Aug 13, 1929 in Ogden, Iowa. Martha died in Ogden Jun 08, 1910. They had 11 children that I am aware of. If anyone has any information on Andrew M. Bloomquist and/or Martha M.
