Mabel Putney Blowers, Florence Blowers, Helen, Bernice, Alderman, etc.

Mabel Putney was born abt 1884 in either New Yokr or Massachussets (census records seem to conlict on this). She had a Bernice, Florence, and Helen. I do not know who their father is. She then married "Jay" Blowers, and the 3 children took the last name of Blowers as well. I have concluded this from census records I have seen. These census records are from Cattaraugus Cty., NY. Later Florence married Lewis Alderman, and they lived in Stephentwon, Rensselaer County, NY. Florence was born approx. 1906, and Lewis was born approx. 1897. They had two sons that reside in NY state. I would like more information on all of them, especially Lewis Alderman, as I know nothing about his ancestry, and Florence Blowers real father's name. Florence's mother, Mabel Putney's parents names are Elma, born approx. 1866, and Abram Putney, born approx. 1863. I would like to know more about them as well. I am also interested in any info. about any of their descendents, especially those of Florence and Lewis Alderman. Thank you for any tips!

Mr.&Mrs. DASKIN and their little
son, were crossing the river in a flat bottomed boat,
in company with Rev. Mr. CATON and Mr. John SEELEY.
The current was so rapid that the boat capsized in
about the middle of the stream. A correspondent
of the Humboldt 'Times,' says: "Mr. CATON caught the
little boy and swam ashore with him. Mr. BLOWERS being
a good swimmer, and knowing that Mr. DASKIN could not
swim, caught Mrs. DASKIN and started for shore, and when within 8
or 10 feet of shore, the 2 sank together and were
carried out (as is supposed) by the under current, and
were seen no more. Mr. DASKIN held on to the canoe,
until he floated down to the 1st eddy below, where he
was taken safely out. Mr. SEELEY also swam ashore
without much difficulty. "Mrs. DASKIN was a very
exemplary lady, a good wife, a kind and indulgent
mother, an accommodating neighbor, and was beloved by
all who knew her.

"John BLOWERS was an old resident of Trinity county,
was a miner for several years on the North Fork of
Salmon river, and was an industrious, upright and
honest man. He could easily have reached the shore
himself, but evidently lost his life in endeavoring to
save that of Mrs.DASKIN."

That man was a hero.
Blowers from Martin county, MN

I would like to share information with descendants of Esther Johnson [1901-1998] & John E. Blowers [1884-1951] who lived in Martin county, MN. They had 17 children. My gg-grandmother was Hannah Johnson who married August Ziemer. Her line is connected to the Blowers through Esther. Trying to find out the history of the Johnson lined which came from Bloomington, Essex co., NY and also connect with living relatives. Thanks
