Hi there, according to "William Bloyd-Bloyed of Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, and Green County, Kentucky and his Descendants" by Edna Bloyd Nichols and Carolyn Geraldine Simpson, page 21, Preston Y. Bloyd, who married Margaret Miller, was the son of Tobias, "Tubby" Bloyd.

Tubby, born March 27, 1784 in Maryland, was the son of William Bloyd and Barsheba Lord. Tubby married Nancy Amelia McMurtry May 27, 1805 in Green County, KY. He died October 11, 1861 and was buried in Bloyd [NOT Bloyd] Cemetery, Spencer County, Indiana.

Nancy, born in 1775, was the daughter of William McMurtry. She had been married before, to William Goldsby Feb 3, 1801 in Green County, Kentucky. James Golby was his father. Nancy and William McMurtry had one daughter, Linn Goldsby.
