This is a very old message but perhaps you never got information on who Hulda Bloyd was so I am sending this information. My information is her name was Mahulda Bushnell and married William A Bloyd on 5/24/1888. She had children from a previous marriage. William was married to Sarah C. Ingram previously and she died 1864. I have more information if you are interested.
Regards Christina Chenoweth

How long have you been doing research on the Bloyd's? I have been doing this on and off for years, depending on school and work. Do you have any of the other books that contain Bloyd research? I was just entering some info. on ancestry into my family tree that I have there, and realized that I need to go through and look names over again. I think that I have accidently combined some spouses and siblings.

By the way, I have a Betty Wheeler for a relative as well.

Amelia as well as for William McMurtry. I've checked throughout the internet with little to no success. Death date is too early for County records. Would you have a source which I could refer to or locate to get further information.? Does someone have a book on the McMurtrys or the Bloyds? I thought I read a query somewhere, its been a while. I havent been able to get back to that site. Your assistance will be Greatly appreciated.

Bloyd list

Hello--the information listed here and elsewhere on how to join the Bloyd list is incorrect. Because we started the Bloyd list very early and called ourselves the "Bloyd Group," I registered the name of the list as the Bloyd-Group-list.
So, to subscribe to the list, send a message to
Bloyd-Group-L-Request@Rootsweb.com
[NOT BLOYD-L-REQUEST]
Leave the subject box blank
Put only one word in the message box: SUBSCRIBE
That will get you subscribed.

Use Bloyd-group-D if you want to subscribe to the digest form but frankly you won't need it if you are worried about heavy mail volume. Most of the time it's a quiet list, unless I get on one of my occasional tears, when I go surfing and share all I find. Too much coffee or Coca Cola, I'm afraid.

We are a very nice group, most of us old friends by now, who have pretty well shared our most important stuff with one another quite some time ago. For this reason we are kind of quiet. We welcome new voices and new folks with new ideas. Paula Buckert, for one, has been an inspiration to us this past year or so, and we'd love to answer any questions you might have.

As they say on the game shows--COME ON DOWN!
We're waitin' for ya.
Sunni Bloyd
List mom

Ancestry of Pat Butleer

My great grandfather was Pat or Patrick Butler, I've been told he left La in the early 1900's. I think
he had a daughter named Edith from Jefferson County Texas. On some papers filed (1/21/1946) in the Richland Parish Court house in Rayville, LA a person named Susan Edith Butler Parker Bloyd from Jefferson County Texas signed them. Pat or Patrick Butler was her father and I would like to know where he was buried. If you have any information on either of these people please e-mail me or write me at my home address 116 Oak Street, Mangham, LA 71259. I certainly would appreciate it. This has been a long hard search.
