This is a very old message but perhaps you never got information on who Hulda Bloyd was so I am sending this information. My information is her name was Mahulda Bushnell and married William A Bloyd on 5/24/1888. She had children from a previous marriage. William was married to Sarah C. Ingram previously and she died 1864. I have more information if you are interested.

How long have you been doing research on the Bloyd's? I have been doing this on and off for years, depending on school and work. Do you have any of the other books that contain Bloyd research? I was just entering some info. on ancestry into my family tree that I have there, and realized that I need to go through and look names over again. I think that I have accidently combined some spouses and siblings.

By the way, I have a Betty Wheeler for a relative as well.

I have a Sidney Emmet Bloyd who married Mary H. 'Dolly' Vincent. Born 1841 in Illinois. Married 08 Aug 1867, Hancock Co., IL. I don't know who his parents or his wife's parents are. I have 4 children: Emily Malhaley, James Robert, Ann and Susie.

COLUMBIA BASIN HERALD, MOSES LAKE, WASHINGTON STATE.

Charles Robert "Bob" Bloyd, 83, longtime Moses Lake resident, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2006 at his home. Military services with burial at sea will take place at a later date.

Arrangements are in care of Kayser's Chapel & Crematory, Moses Lake.

Bob was born April 16, 1923 in Portland, Ore., to the late Donald and Miracle (Swick) Bloyd. He was raised and educated in Kelso. At the age of 17, he joined the United States Navy and served his country during World War II. Bob was honorably discharged in 1946.

He married Lynne McRae on May 16, 1970 in Renton, and they made their home in California before moving to Moses Lake in 1986.

Following his retirement, Bob drove school bus for the Moses Lake School District for several years.

He loved the outdoors and enjoyed golfing and fishing.

Survivors include his wife, Lynne Bloyd; a son, Steve Bloyd; three daughters and sons-in-law, Carren and Charles Bennett, Teresa and Mark Snegosky and Debra and Don Kim; a brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Alma Bloyd; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Hi, my name is Marlo and I believe I am correct in saying that your grandfather was my great uncle. I am the daughter of Joey Bloyd, my grandfather is EJ Bloyd and I spent many many summers at my Aunt Josies house in Summersville. My great grandma was Lissie. Would like to talk more. Linda Kay Bloyd, 55, of Danville, died at 8:39 am Wednesday (March 3, 1999) at the Hoopeston Community Memorial Hospital. She was born March 29, 1943, in Anderson, Ind., the daughter of Troy and Vera Hawthorn Bloyd. Survivors include: her parents of Port Charlotte, Fla.; two sisters, Sherri (Martin) Counterman of Port Charlotte, Fla., and Debbi (Jon) Whitely of Northport, Fla.; a nephew, Aaron Counterman of Port Charlotte; and a special friend, Susan Stratman of Danville. Miss Bloyd was a graduate of Hoopeston High School and Illinois State University. She received a master's degree from the University of Illinois. She was a former principal of Hoopeston Middle School, Roosevelt Junior High School In Decatur, HI., and Orion Middle School in Orion, III. She was a co-owner and operator of Computer Production Consulting Group, Inc. in Danville. She was a member of the Green Meadows Girl Scout Council Board in Urbana and the Danville Chamber of Commerce.

If you are still looking for info on Mary Rebecca Bloyd, I have a family history book that list her parents Stephen Bloyd and Mariah Warren. that goes back a few years prior to that. My great Aunt, Thelma ( Bloyd ) Sester wrote it in the late 70's and it includes several family documents such as wills and photos. Could have a copy made and ship it to you if you want it. No Charge, Just glad to help find where the family tree grew out of.

Do you have info on a LaRella (Rella) Bloyd? She is my gggrandma. I don't know anything about her except that she married Lloyd Wardlow from Missouri and had one child, Myrtle(aka "Billy")Viola Wardlow b. April 26, 1901 d. July 4, 1957 in Van Nuys, CA. LaRella's grandson, my late grandfather, Richard Donald Pettinger (born Donald Richard) was just starting to research the Bloyd family line when he died of Colon Cancer. Hello, I'm descendant of Nancy Bloyd Miller, dau of Tobias and Nancy Amelia Bloyd. I'm trying to locate death records for Nancy, Tobias and N. Amelia as well as for William McMurtry. I've checked throughout the internet with little to no success. Death date is too early for County records. Would you have a source which I could refer to or locate to get further information.? Does someone have a book on the McMurtrys or the Bloyds? I thought I read a query somewhere, its been a while. I havent been able to get back to that site. Miss Marjorie Bloyd, a former student at the State Normal school, here, and a popular favorite among the young folks of this city, was married on Tursday, June 20, to Francis Clyde Fender of Prescott, Wash., at a pretty ceremony in the Episcopal church at Starbuck, Wash., the home of her sister. The wedding, the report states, was an elaborate and beautiful one, and was attended by many friends of the couple.

Mr. Fender is a properous young rancher of near Prescott, and is well known and popular in that vicinity.

The many local friends of the young woman join in wishing them happiness and success.

HOOPESTON - William Glenn Bloyd, 75, of Hoopeston, died at 5 p.m. Friday (May 16, 2003) at the Hoopeston Community Memorial Hospital. Born Aug. 11, 1927, at Hoopeston, he was the son of William and Daisy Judd Bloyd. He married Margaret Ann Williams on March 27, 1948, at Hoopeston. She survives. Also surviving are: three daughters, Cathryn (Daniel) Powell of Rantoul, Carolyn (Howard) Edwards of Milford and Sandy (Steve) Lewis of Hoopeston; one son, William Michael (Cindy) Bloyd of Ramona, Okla.; two brothers, Thomas (Grace) Bloyd of Forest, Va. and David (Tammy) Bloyd of Omaha, Neb.; one sister, Erminee Boughton of Chevy Chase, Md.; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. His parents, two brothers, one sister, two grandsons, and one great-grandson preceded him in death. Mr. Bloyd had worked as a letter carrier for the Hoopeston Post Office for 30 years, retiring in 1975. He had served with the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a life member of VFW Post 4826 of Hoopeston, and a past commander of American Legion Post 384 of Hoopeston. He had enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening and working jigsaw puzzles. Funeral services with military rites: 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 20, at the Brown-Alkire Funeral Home, 309 E. I have Elijah Bloyd b-abt 1811, d-abt 1900 in IL. m Rebecca Arant on Aug. 5, 1830 in Tazwell, IL. She was b-abt 1815, d-bef 1880 Waterford Twp., Lewiston, Fulton, IL. They had sever children, Charity Elizabeth b-1854, Fulton, IL d-1899, Fulton, IL; George W. b-1842 d-Jan. 9, 1863 of war inflicted wounds; Eliza Jane; William; Henry and Mary b-1848. Charity is my husband's direct line she m John A. Mustard Jul. 9, 1871 in Fulton Co., IL. They had three children-Rebecca, Sarah (Sadie) and John William. After John's death she remarried a Perry Edwards Dec. 10, 1884 in Fulton Co., IL.
Any info you might have. I haven't been able to connect Elijah to any of the Bloyds. Would appreciate any info you might have on this line.
