I'm trying to find descendants of Benjamin Franklin Carter and Ellen Blue who were married April 21, 1895, in Washington County, Florida (Book D, Page 53, listed on Washington County GenWeb site.) They had at least eight children from 1896 through 1916--Eva, Gresham David, Walter, Ethel, Irene, Buell F., Woodrow W., and Pauline. The family is in the 1920 Washington County, Florida census, but seems to "disappear" in 1930. I did find Gresham David Carter in the 1930 Caddo Parish, Louisiana census, but have not located any of the others in 1930.

If you have any information about this family after 1920, I would appreciate your sharing.

I would also like to know whether the Ellen Blue who Benjamin Franklin Carter married is by chance Hester Ellen Blue, daughter of Thomas Jefferson Blue and Adeline Augusta Miller. My "gut" feeling is that they are the same; however, I have no real proof.
