Thomas G. Bluett

Davis native Thomas Gary Bluett died Jan. 17, 2004, in Hillsboro, Ore. He was 42.

Born July 12, 1961, in Sacramento, he grew up in Davis, attending St. James School, Holmes Junior High School and Davis High School.

He loved fishing, photography and playing guitar. He was a printer by trade, working for Times Litho in Forest Grove, Ore.

He is survived by his daughters, Erika and Ashley Bluett of Queensbury, N.Y.; parents, Gordon and Joy Bluett of Davis; brothers, Michael Bluett of Las Vegas, Nev., and Daniel Bluett of Davis; sisters, Kathryn Bluett of Sacramento and Diane Guilbault and her husband Jim of Antelope; nephews, Craig and Eric Bluett of Sparks, Nev., and Justin, Shawn and Brandon Guilbault of Antelope; niece, Madelyn Guilbault of Antelope; paternal grandmother, Florence Hagberg of Turlock; and special companion, Shirley Verhoef of Hillsboro.

A memorial service will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at St. James Church, 1275 B St. in Davis.

The family requests that donations in his memory be sent to Washington County Hospice, 427 SE Eighth St., Hillsboro, OR 97123-4519, or to the American Cancer Society.
