Robert Bluhm, I have information for you on your Holtz connection. Annie was my mother's aunt. She came from Germany circa 1884. I do have the exact date and the name of the ship. The Holtz family came over in three waves from the Thuringen region of Germany. Herman Holtz and his wife Sophie were the family heads. My grandfather was Gustav Holtz, Annie's brother. Gus moved to Milwaukee where he became a sucessful florist. My mother use to sail on L. Mich. to visit the relatives in Hammond and vice a versa. I do have pictures. This message may essentialy be a duplicate. Contact me, Peter O. Dahlke of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. I'm in people search or at my alternative email address of smallvalley@wi.rr.com I hope this sysstem works. I am a novice at this methodology, but hope springs eternal. I would have filed this under other but the system seems reluctant to let me do so. such is life. Robert, I think you are a third cousin to my kids.
I'm a product of that vintge year, 1939, Wizard of Oz,
Gone With The Wind, etc, etc, etc.
