Hi All

I hope this reaches out to some one that can possibly help.

My fathers name is therion Bluitt. All i know is that he lives in Texas.

His mother's (My grandmother) name is Mrs. Oliver She passed away a few years ago. I dont know for sure but i was told that he had 6-10 kids in the Kansas City Mo. area.

Im 33 now and i was told they are around my age.

I don't know too much about this side of my family. But I would like to learn of some possible brothers and sisters i may have in the world.

I came across a post looking for info for him but could not reply to old address. His son Allen was my grandfather and was born in Brooksville, Miss., Married to May Nancy.

Jimmy Bluitt Miller

I am looking for information on my uncle's family. I know that his mother was Hallie Bluitt, married a miller (don't remember the first name). Unfortunately both Hallie and Jimmy are deceased and my aunt doesn't know much of their family history. Hallie was born about 1904, married in Oklahoma, and died about 2001 in Illinois.

Sorry that nobody replied to you, but the sad truth is that there is very little (at least that I could find) on the Bluitts. I know that the name is derived from the french word for blue (bleu) and that it is many centuries old. The most of the Bluitts I could gather was that they at a time lived in Louisiana USA and that some scattered westward, in towards Texas and Kansas (where my family came from until they settled in California where I was born). Other than that, this is all that I have, though I continue to do my best to track down my family history.

My name is Sicily and i am trying to locate some of my ancestors. I really do not know much about the Bluitts but i am trying to find my family roots.

My father's name was Paul Bluitt, born in Passage West, County Cork, Ireland in 1917. He married Ivy Wilkinson in England in 1938 or 1939, and had eight children - one son, seven daughters. The family moved to Canada in 1958, and has grown very large. Most of us live in Southern Ontario. My brother Ken moved back to England in the early 1960's. He disappeared about ten years ago.
I'd be interested in sharing our family tree with other Bluitt family members. There is probably a connection originating in Ireland. Ther are still several family members in Ireland, also a graveyard with numerous Bluitt graves. I can be contacted at sheila.p@sympatico.ca

i was told that the bluitt family originated from Virginia. I really would like to hear from a bluitt from that area.

Hello, Actually, my Mother's maiden name is Bluitt. Her name is Shirley Jean Bluitt, born in Mexia, Texas. Her father was John Cleophus Bluitt born in Calvert, Texas, born circa 1900/1901 in September, his father was Herbert Bluitt, born around 1817-1875 in Louisiana and moved to Texas as a child. Very interesting Stories associated with this move involving his racially mixed family and parentage! With your husbands family being from New York, there may be no relation, but I thought I'd respond anyway! Thanks!
