Paul - Is there any chance I may be related? Although my maiden name is Blum, I have had an extremely hard time finding any connection to anyone! Here is some information; please let me know if there is a match:

My paternal grandfather, Alfred Ellsworth Blum was born (February 5, 1907) and died (September 21, 1951) in Newark, NJ. The following information was taken from his newspaper obituary, and dubious conversations with my grandmother, Helen Lucille Wegner Blum . . . otherwise, I have no other information: His father's name is John M. Blum and his mother's name is Mina Selwakinger (or Glassner or Henninger) Blum. He had two sisters, Charlotte Blum Galuccio Bundock of Irvington, NJ and Elsa Blum Bernstein of Los Angeles, CA. Alfred also had a brother named Walter who died when they were children. Charlotte was born in Newark, NJ, March 15, 1910 and died in February, 1981. No children. Elsa moved to California with her husband and daughter, Isadore and Barbara Bernstein sometime prior to 1950.
