K. Philip Bloomenshine:

Farmer, P.O. Box, Cruger Township, IL;
Born: 1825 in Darmstadt, Germany
Son of: John and Annie M. Bloomenshine
Annie, his mother, died in Germany.
John, his father, came to America in 1834 and settled in Tazewell County, IL on 40 acres of land.
Mr. Bloomenshine was engaged in the bakery business in Germany.
1848 - he emigrated to America and landed in Baltiomore, MD.
remaining there for a short time.
K. Philip Bloomenshine then went to Pittsburgh, PA and remained there for one year, in the bakery business.
He then went to IL and settled in Tazewell County and became a farmer.
He then went to Peoria, Washington and Knoxville, where he became a baker and then returned to farmimg.
1875 - Settled in Woodford County and purchased 80 acres of land in Cruger Township.
K. Philip Bloomenshine married in 1852, Miss Mary C. Rambo, of Shippensburg, Cumberland County, PA.
Their six children are:

George W.
Charles W.
Henry H.
Emma C.
Ella
Mr. K.P. Bloomenshine is Republican in politics and a member of the Evangelical Church.
