This is my ancestor:

Henry Detlef Sienknecht
b. 5 MAY 1860 Rhunwinkel, Germany
d. 17 FEB 1951 Waterloo, Iowa
m. 19 JAN 1883 Germany
to Fredericka Louisa Krambeck
Immigrated 26 NOV 1883 on the SS Lessing.

According to the 1925 Iowa census, his parents were Christian F. & Julia Ruge Sienknecht. I don't know much more about them, nor do I know any of Henry's siblings. I feel like there must be a connection between all the Sienknecht families somehow.

Here is his obituary:

HENRY SIENKNECHT DIES AT DAUGHTER'S HOME AT WATERLOO
Henry Sienknecht, who farmed in the Traer and Gladbrook communities many years, died at 4:55 a.m. last Saturday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Harry Sabin, in Waterloo, of complications of old age. He was more than 90 years old.
Services were held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon in the Goettsch Funeral Home in Gladbrook, conducted by the Rev. Laverne Brassard, pastor of Salem church of Lincoln. Burial was in Maple Hill cemetery, north of Gladbrook.
Henry Sienknecht was born May 5, 1860, in Rhunwinkel, Germany, and was reared to manhood in the old country. on Jan. 19, 1883, he married Freda Krambeck in Germany. They came to the United States in 1884, settling at Hampton Bluffs, Ill. Mr. Sienknecht brought his family to Iowa in 1893, and farmed near Traer and Gladbrook many years. He retired in Gladbrook in 1916.
Surviving are one son, Fred, of Lincoln; three daughters, Mrs. Julius Staker and Mrs. Charles Fink of Lincoln, and Mrs. Harry Sabin, of Waterloo; 33 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; and eight great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 1940, and two sons, Henry, Rock Island, Ill., and John of Clutier.
