Hi,
I am trying to locate information on George Blye born about
1835 in Pa and his wife, Emma blye born about 1837 in Eng/
Canada. They both died in a train wreck in Michigan in
1880. they had one daughter, Grace

from NY. His wife was Emma Blye born 1837 . They had
a daughter, Grace Gertrude Blye born 1875. George and
Emma died in a train crash in 1880 which may have been
in Michigan.

I am seeking information on James Blye and Mary Alice Blye who were listed as the birth parents on my great grandmother's adoption certificate from the City of Haverhill, MA. My great-grandmother was listed as Alice May born August 16, 1882. She may have had a birth brother and there is talk about her grandfather being American Indian. Alice was adopted by John and Alice Blaisdell September 14, 1882 in Essex County, MA.

My maternal grandfather was William Elmer Blye, brother of Herman Campbell Blye. It's Sandi Blye Woodworth again. We seem to be meant to get together and compare notes. My Great Grandmother was Mary Stokes from Missouri, who later lived in Kansas and then Washington state. I appreciate the Stokes/Missouri connection and will look into it.My GGmother was born in January 1862, supposedly in Ill, but who knows. If any of this clicks, let me know.

My maiden name was Sandra Blye, so I was very surprised when I saw your name under the "BLYE" messages. The Blye's in my family that I am trying to find is William Penn Blye, born in Mo in 1876 to Mary Stokes. I have a real dead end with him so can't help you out about your Albert. Is Blye your maiden or married name? Drop me a line.

I have read you post on the above families.
My grandmother was Mary Janes Stokes of
Orrick, Missouri. Her father was Cyrus
Stokes of Orrick also. Her father grandfather was William Riley Blythe and her grandmother was Didama Fletcher...all of
Orrick. It is strange of the coincidences
in the two faily names and the location too.

According to the 1900 census in Ok. where my Robert Blye was living he states that his mother was born in Kentucky and his Father in Tenn. and that he was born in Mo.
My mother remembers her father talking about 3 Blye brothers coming to the Bostan, Mass. area from England. Or so she thinks. Does that sound familar?

Nathen Blye married Pauline Cole and had my father Jack. Nathan passed away some years ago in Marshall, IL. His wife at the time of his death was Violet. Nathan had other children as well; Marsha, Brenda, James, and Nathan JR.

I am trying to locate information about my Great, Great Grandmother. Her name was Dorah Bell Blye Stripling, Born 11 Jan. 1880 and Died 8 Jul, 1964. She married William Parks Strpling about 1894 and my Grandfather James Claude Edward Stripling was born on 10 Sep 1987. He changed his name to Claude Ernest when he went to college. My Mother is LaVera Jean Stripling Beck Whittaker, Born 26 Aug 1027. I am trying to find out anything about Dora and to find out about her mother and father. They lived in Oklahome between Hugo and Durrant when Claude was a boy. Dora's father was Robert Blye.
