I agree that it is confusing.
You say that my Uncle Phil was born in 1866. He was 82 when he died in 1958 and he was younger than my father. My father inherited the freelage of Newcastle, and as far as I am aware this goes to the eldest son. Was Francis born 1854 Male or female?
I cannot understand how I had Aunts and Uncles that I knew nothing about.
I would be interested in the marriage certificate.If you could send me a copy.
Were they living in 15 Saville Row in this census record you have?
My mother was Ethel G Macdonald. I had 2 sisters.
Perhaps we could correspond, in the first instance, by email.
I have mixed feelings about it all.
