my maiden name is boag and I'm from newcastle. The boags were a big family and lived in various parts of newcastle. Your boag maybe a cousin of my great great great grandfather john boag he was born 1817 he had 12 brothers and sisters (big family). Around dean street and pilgrim street there were boags too. Johns father was william boag born 1785 he married jane robson. William was a paper stainer and owned a book shop got copyright on his printing too.
