marvalette: the boales of skidmore have live there since the 1840's. they are black & took their name from dabney boales their slaveholder. when dab's wife patsy died he moved to the uvalde texas area. dabney 's father was calvin and calvin father was from ky. dabney's mother was mckeehee. he had one slave peter your greatgf. the black boales named their children after the white boales.your family are well known as oral historian and have many stories and extensive info on the black & white boales. contact me or any other interested parties.

I'm looking for the Richard Boales who married my gr.Aunt, Annie Hatton. Annie was born in Ahoghill,Co.Antrim Ireland on 10 April 1864 to John Hatton and Rose Ann Talley(of Harperstown). Richard and Annie had two known children. Catherine and Richard. Both went to Phiily,PA. USA. Don't know where or when they came over or if their parents ever followed.
I would love to locate any cousins left.
