My father has been researching our family for some time now . We have found Thomas H. Boas,he came from ILL. to Keokuk IA and enlisted in the calvary during the civil war. He then settled in Davis county in Iowa and married a lady that had 5 kids.
My grandfathers father died when he was 12 or 13 yrs old. I'm not sure of his name.
My grandfather, Wilbur Thomas Boas born 2-14-?? married Marie Fay Amelang-Boas. She had 5 boys; James (deceased) Carl Eugene (my father) Thomas Wilbur, Ray David,and Roy Martin. We all reside in ,or close to Davis county in Iowa. Mostly arround Bloomfield.
Their are 14 grand childern and 10 great-grand childern.
