Trying to find out if my GG Grandmother Emma Bobbitt (b. May 1881, d. Jan 1951)is one of the 9 children of James and Malinda. In the 1900 Census, it says that they had 9 children and all 9 were living. 7 of the children were living with them at the time. The only thing that I really have to go on to link my Emma to James and Malinda is that in that same census, Emma and her husband James Allen were living very close to them. James and Emma Allen are on page 2, while James and Malinda Bobbitt are on page 4. Bobbitt wasn't exactly a very common name. Its just speculation, which is why I'm looking for something a little more concrete. Can anyone confirm or deny that Emma is one of the 2 missing children. That missing 1890 census is the bane of my genealogy research.
