My aunt was married to Herman Bockelman - Wayne & Jeri are his kids. Wayne passed away a long while ago and Jeff passed away in 1995. Mary passed away recently in Chino. Terry lives in Connecticut. Someone can contact Terry with your friend's info & then Terry can get back to that person.

My grandfather had someone in the family whom married a Bazzanella and that is where Ethyl Marie came from Richard M. Bazzanella. I have her baby book. I have been trying to find information on Katherine Unfug who I believe was born May 5, 1869. She married Jacob Jung/Young around 1890 and came to US at that same time. They settled in Buffalo. One census record has her as from Alsace Lorraine, but her death certificate lists her as born in Berlin, Germany. Thanks!

My name is Diana Bockelman Grant. My sister has been doing the geneology on our family for years and I called her yesterday and told her about this book I received and she told me that Ethel Marie Bazzanella is in our Family.
It is a wonderful baby book. I'll try to get my husband to make copies in the future. Maybe you and I are family along the line. Ethel Marie Bazzanella is the Granddaughter of Ethel Marie Bockelman. Are there any Bockelman's in your line of family from the past?

The only date I have is when My father was born in TX which was June 2 1920 and his brother's name was Harold Frances Bockelman born 1923

My father's father use to spel Bockelman with 2 ns. My grandfather Harry Chales Bockelman use to live in Chicago Il. and is now buried in Galveston,TX where he's from. His son is my father Harry Fred Bockelman JR. from Galveston,TX 1920-1985 and he buried here in jacksonville, FL.

My grandfather Harry Charles Bockelman is buried in Galveston,TX. in 1940 something. He died from a brain anurysm in chicago Illinois. He worked for Al Capone while my father ran his restaurant and Bar. My grandmother was his first wife and her name was Frances lagori Nichols Bockelman and she is buried here in Jacksonville, FL. with my parents Harry Fred Bockelman Jr. and Christine Lavelle Hardin Bockelman.

My grandfather was Harry Charles Bockelman fron galveston,TX where he is buried but he lived in Chicago ILL. and ran with Al Capone and his gang before he had an anurysm and died in a hospital in Chicago. He had a restaurant and bar business there because my father Harry Fred Bockelman ran it for him and thats where he learned how to cook. My grandmother's name was frances Lagori Nichols and she was fron the old country.

My grandfather was from Galveston, TX where he is buried. His name is Harry Charles Bockelman. He use to live in Chicago, Illinois and ran with Al Capone the notorios gangster.
He had an anurysm and died in Chicago in the early 40s and Mr Capone had him brought to Galveston, TX where he is buried.His son's name is Harry Fred Bockelman whom was my father who is buried with my mother here in jacksonville,FL.

Hi Cousin! Yes, Claus was Mary Ann's father. He died young--only 49 years old. He is buried in Cleveland at the Scranton Road cemetery. Anna is buried near Mary Ann's family in Auburn Center Cemetery in Geauga County. Are you local to NE Ohio?

I am trying to connect Claus as the father to my Great Grandmother, Mary Ann Bockelman (Hutchings), born Cleveland 1870. I have seen his name listed as Herman and Henry and would like to confirm if they are one and the same. Mary Ann's mother is Anna and as per the U.S. 1900 census, it lists Anna as having 6 living children. I know of Mary Ann, Herman, Henry, Fred, Catherine and I believe Martin. I am
intrigued as to what happened to him. I am currently requesting Mary Ann's birth certificate in hopes of verifying her father's name. Thanks!

Bernhard Bockelmann Wife Anna of Bremen

I'm searching for information on my gg gfather born approximately 1840's-1850's somewhere in Prussen (we've been led to believe in Bremen). Family history lists an Anna Kock as his wife, no dates or further info. His daughter, Wilhelmine Dora Bockelman (born 27 Feb 1877), emigrated to the US in 1893, married Lars Peter Jensen 1896 in Chicago. We think Dora had at least two sisters who stayed in Bremen, and their names may have been Erna and Anna. We're trying to find any further info on Dora's parents Bernhard and Anna. The only Bernhard we can find in any records was born in 1843 in Vegesack. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am still searching for dates. There were 4 children I think...Henry, Gertrude, William, and Charles. Henry died in 1958...my grandfather. I found some records through a convent on Gertrude. I cannot find a William or a Charles in Cincinnati, Ohio. William died around 1965 and Charles died at an early age according to convent records.

My Biolgical Father was Robert Luther Ennis his mother was Ida Mae Ennis (Morgan) he had a sister by the name of Bobbie Jean they were from McComb Mississippi. Robert died in 2007 from the records I have found Ida 1987 I was adopeted by my father who raised me my mother has passed she was Peggy Jean Talley 1941-2006 Robert Ennis 1934-2007 Ida Mae Ennis (Morgan) 1910-1987 Ive been able to find records on the Morgan side but not the Ennis I was told as a child that Roberts father name was Luther Ennis & that he died in prison so any info would be appreciated thanks Deb

Greetings, doing research for my wife's Father James Watson. His mother was a Irene Kuse Daugher of Bernard Kuse and Louisa Boeckelmann.

Louis was the Daughter of Adolph and Silvana Joyal
Bernard was the son of Herman and Wilhelmina Abbenhaus

I have Adolphs immigration and civil war pension records. I don't have anything further on the Kuse side.

my great grand father and great grand mother and grand father last name is Buzzanell they came from Austira and there are Bazzanella in my family tree on my grand fathers side of the family . And my 3great grand father is Luigi Bazzanella. So that book that you found at estate sale sounds alot my relatives. I believe that Richard Bazzanella is one of my relatives. I would love to see the book and photos.

The Heinrich Bockelmann born in 1816 would not be correct. My g-grandfather was born Nov. 6, 1815 according to his headstone. I guess I'm still confused about locations. In census records he listed Oldenburg as hs place of origin. My g-grandmother was from Hanover. I understand both of these places can be both towns and regions. They married after they came to Texas so I have no idea if they met here or already knew each other before they arrived. I am hoping that if records for Henry Holle are found that maybe Louisa Holle will show up as his sister. I have ordered a film from the Family History Center that may show something on the Holle's. I really appreciate the checking you are doing.

Heinrich F. Holle was born Feb. 16,1820 and died Aug.27, 1890. He is buried in the Salem Lutheran Cemetery in Welcome, TX.
I think my g-grandmother may have been his sister. Her name is Louisa (Holle) Bockelmann. She was born Nov. 24, 1829 and died Mar. 17, 1895. She is buried in McGregor, Tx. Thanks so much for checking on these. I have had a terrible time trying to figure out where Hannover and Oldenburg are today.

I have church records for the town of Diepholz Germany from 1609-1800. There was a large Bockelmann family in Diepholz. The oldest Bockelmann record goes back to 1528.

I'm searching for Heinrich Bockelmann from Oldenburg. In the process I went to Google (I think) and put in Bockelmann. I found a huge number of listings. But I did find that there is an inn in that area of Germany that belongs to some Bockelmann's. It is very old and I think it is still run by the family. You might check it out.

There are a lot of different spellings for Bockelmann. My great grandfather, Henry, immigrated to Texas sometime around 1850. He married Louisa Holle in Washington County in 1852. They had a number of children, but only two sons. The oldest was Fred Bockelmann.He lived and died in Washington.The other son was Charlie. He never married. Fred was born Jan. 9,1857. He had a son named Ben, born Feb. 10,1891, a son named F.H.,born Mar. 9, 1892, Arthur B., born Mar. 20, 1901, Henry B., born April 1, 1882, Fritz,June 15, 1889,plus a bunch of daughters. I understand that Ben and another son moved to Turkey, Tx.I have no idea if any of the descendents moved out of the state.I can't find any of my relatives who are researching the family. I hope you have more success.

We may be from the same family. My great grandfather was Carl Heinrich Bockelmann. He was born around 1816 in Oldenburg, I guess. The 1880 Washington county census had his age as 64 and that he immigrated from Oldenburg. He married Louisa Holle on Dec. 14, 1852. He is buried in the Salem Lutheran Cemetery at Welcome, Tx.They had a son named Fred who was born Jan. 9, 1857. Fred had a son listed as F.H. who was born Mar. 9, 1892. There are still a number of Fred's decendants living in the area south of Brenham, Tx.

My greatgrandfather was Carl Heinrich Bockelmann. He was born November 6, 1815. He married Louisa Holle in Washington County, Texas, in 1852. The cenus records say he was from Oldenburg. I would like to know if he is related to your family.

Does anyone have access to a book that was first printed in 2000, reprinted in 2005, that has all the village records for Hanstedt and surrounding villages. It includes baptism, marriages and death records. Hinrich Porth is the author / compiler / translator. My HILLMER, MEIER (MEYER) ancestors came from the area.
