Hi Shirley, I had given up but glad to hear from you finally. I have also had responses to posts that I have never been notified of so not sure why that happens at times. We just got back from a trip to Iowa for some family reunions so now trying to clear up e-mail. I see you mentioned your tree in a previous message so will check it out also. I do have more on the family but not sure it is right. You mentioned some conflicting dates and I would appreciate any help in that line also. My e-mail is lambert.robert@att.net if you wish to write that way. Thanks for responding. Carole

My relationship to GW Bocock is thru son Camillus, my 2ggrandfather. I find it interesting, he married Harriett Norton Smilie. Will follow your tree to see our connections, but evidently through both Bocock branch and Smilie branch. Am planning to visit Camillus & Harriett's graves in OK when weather cools a bit. If you ever need any help in KS or OK areas, just ask. The bug has bitten me!!

Hi Carol, I don't know why I never received your query all those years ago. And you have probably given up on me. The informaion you had about 11 children is right as far as I can see, except we have conflicting dates on some of them. (I also have an Effie R. b. 1859. Never confirmed her, though).I am sure you have all of this figured out by now. My great grandmother was Hannah Murley Bocock a daughter of George W. She married my great grandfather Weldon Reagon Smilie.

George Washington Bocock was my 2nd great grandfather. His daughter Hannah Murley Bocock was my great grandmother. They had 11 or 12 children. I am not certain that all of my information is 100% correct, but it is as close as I have been able to find. Do you have Ancestry.com? If so, the name of my tree is "Robenstein Family Tree". Why don't you search for him by name in Family Trees. My tree will come up so that you can view what I have there. I would love to find out more on this family, too, as my Smilie family doesn't know anything about them. Hannah married Weldon Reagon Smilie.

Your are describing the Drury Bocock who married Sarah Sally Dorson.
My fiance is a direct descendant of him. Drury had a son named Thomas (m Sallie Sarah Bouldin). Thomas had Patrick Henry (m Sudie Jane Griggs). Patrick Henry had Henry Letcher (m Bessie Ratcliffe). Henry Letcher had Willie James (m Cleo Richardson). Willie James had Billy Letcher (m Janet Gail Stowe). Billy had Jesse Lee and that brings you up to my present day guy.
Hope that helps! I also know the siblings in most of these generations so feel free to ask!

His information has been a bit illusive and I would appreciate any help you might have to offer. Thanks.
