I have a note of a Mary Doyle married to Patrick Boddy or Body in Newmarket, Co.Cork (or Limerick). My connection is with John Boddy and Mary Sullivan of Dromcollogher, Limerick which is on border with Cork. All of them are buried at Rock Chapel, Cork. However a Philip McAuliffe and Patrick were witnesses at my great grandparents' wedding. Hope this helps. Please feel free to ask any questions.

I am trying to search for the Boddy family that lived in York Road Teddinton. 1969.
The father of my daughter ( now 40 years of age ) was william ( Bill) Boddy. I believe he is now deceased. He did have two sisters...one that le]ived in Teddington. UI would like to find this family so that my daughter could at least trace her roots. She is living in Teddington....a stones throw from York Road where she was conceived. I am trying to locate anyone by the name of Boddy that lived in the Teddington area, middlesex. Possibly York Road, Teddington 1969/70
William ( Bill ) Boddy.........worked at the Griffin Hotel in Kingston.

Would really like to get in touch with the family. Believe Bill is now dead. What about his sisters? One lived in Teddinton Somerset Road, I think. The other may have lived in Isleworth, Bedfornt ???

Thank you for posting this! Interesting reading. I'm not sure if this man and his sons are related to the Boddys in my tree, but since it's a unusual name and there weren't very many Boddys at that time, there is the possibility! Thanks again!

I am looking to connect with anyone that is possibly researching the BODDY family that immigrated from Ireland to Canada.

My ggg-Grandmother was Eliza Jane Boddy and she was born 1818 in Ireland. Her family settled in the Tecumseth township area. Possible brothers could be John Boddy(b1826) and/or William Boddy (b1817), but I have not been able to confirm this as yet.

Eliza Jane married William Manning about 1835 in Tecumseth Township and they moved to the Creemore area of Nottawasaga Twp., Simcoe County.

I am just starting researching this part of my family tree, so any help would be appreciated.

Hello! My great-uncle Thomas LUFF (1870, Feltham, Middx) married Jennie BODDY in 1901 and raised their family in Cook County, Illinois.

Their children were Josephine (BRAINARD); Charlotte (HAWKINS); and Madeline (GIBBS).

Jennie died in 1961 in Maywood, Cook County, Illinois.

Henry has the right name, the right appx date, and the right place to be the son of Henry and Elizabeth. I have lots of history on Elizabeth but none on Henry. Have you confirmed any history for him? I have found a couple of possibles but nothing I can prove.

they had john born1825 in leeds, edward born1832in ripon clara 1833 mary1834 in lancaster jane emigrated to america in the early 1850 s possibly after death of her husband
in 1832 her brother galen emigrated to america and this is who jane and her two daughters lived with .

This maybe a coincidents but I have Matilda Hunt b.1813 marrying John Boddy b.1816 Mohill, Leitrim, Ireland They married March 06, 1839 Kitley, Leeds, Ontario
I also have a query by Dennis Hunt Date: 1 Feb 2002 that has James Hunt born 1772 Mohill,Leitrim Ireland it names his Children as; Children of James Hunt and Frances Gilroy were as follows:

I am researching my family tree, and the Boddy's are a major portion of the Tree. Edna was the daughter of John and Lulu (Branford) Boddy of Rising Sun, Maryland.
John Jul 1870 - 1946, Lulu H. Branford, Apr 1873 - unk
She had about 15 brothers and sisters.
John worked for the Railroad, and He is buried in the Black Cemetery in Conowingo. Lulu also has a Gravestone there.
If you know of any pictures, documents or other information, I would love to see it.

Hi I am new to the boards. I have a question about your listing of Francis Boudro's wife Dorothy. Francis and Dorothy were my husbands grandparents. But I believe Dorothys last name is wrong. Her mother was Medora A Carmack id #1500162721. Medora's first husband was T. Huttman Id #1500162718 but this was not dorothys father. Dorothys fathers last name was Derby. But I am not positive that Medora and lonn derby were ever married (I have no proof.) I would also like to know about the source you list is that something thats available or a library source. Looking for the parents, grandparents, etc. of John C. Boddy b 1837 in Canada(Eng). Parents listed as from Ireland. John married Elizabeth Daniels b 1838, also in Canada(Eng or French). Children listed in 1900 census, Nobles co., MN, were James C. b 1864, Wm Daniels b. 1868, Arthur b. 1874, and Charlotte Elizabeth b. 07Dec1881. We were always told they had 4-5 children before these and lost them to some disease, so they started over. I would appreciate any and all info on these people.
