After spending a few years looking for the origin of Jane or Elizabeth Jane Berdine it became clear her family name was Bodine and not Berdine. This much has been found to be true. Jane or Elizabeth Jane married Peter Wene about 1770 and had three daughters, Anna, Sarah and Jane between 1771 and 1775. Peter Wene died before 1780 and his widow married Barnet/Barnes/Barent Smock about 1780 or 1781 in New Jersey possibly Somerset or Hunterdon county. Their four children were Elizabeth, Abraham, Henry and Mary with Elizabeth b. 1781 or 2, Abraham b. 1787, Henry b. possibly 1788 to 1790 and Mary b. 1791 in Westmoreland Co., PA. My question is: Abraham Bodine and Mary Low/Lou's children mostly have full dates of Birth. Jane as given in his will does not. Has anyone found a year or date of birth for Abraham's daughter Jane. The only reference I have is about 1750. Barnet Smock was baptised in 1749 in Somerset Co., New Jersey.
