Mein Urgroßvater Michael wohnte in Ruhnow, ist aber in Teschendorf geboren. Ich habe Ihre Familie zwar gefunden (siehe "Bemerkungen" bei http://www.boelters.de/Boelter_Vorfahren_ancestry/Privat/Pr5...), vermute jedoch, dass die beiden Familien nicht verwandt waren. Ich fand auch keine Nachkommen Ihrer "Boelter" in den USA.

Ich bin auch am Suchen nach Boelter-Nachkommen. "Meine" wohnten in Ruhnow, Kreis Regenwalde in Pommern (August Boelter verheiratet mit Augusta Krecklow) und sind mit ihren 5 Kindern 1882 nach Wisconsin immigriert.

John and Mattie(?spelling)had a farm in or near Caldwell, WI
They had 4 children. Daughter: Merl, Son: Laurel,
Son: Raymond, and Daughter: Joyce.
My father was Laurel(Born in caldwell, WI in 1905.
Died in Lake Geneva, WI in 1976.

Raymond married Francis. They lived in Caldwell. Raymond was a suceesful Insurance agent. Francis added multiple ovens to her kitchen. Made, decorated . and sold wedding and all occasion cakes. Aunt Francis made my wedding cake.

After John had an accident on the farm in the 1950's or early 1960's John and Matie sold the farm and bought a ranch house in
Mukwonago, WI

My grandfather name is Douglas Schumacher and his mother is Alice Boelter which was my great grandmother. They had children named Carl, Douglas, Forrest, Rubeye, Allen and William Schumacher. Alice's parents name was Alexander (Alex) Boelter and Harrett (Hattie) Hills. Recently I found the line of Hills family all the way back to 1400 in England. I'm still struggling Boelter's side of the family .... found its either Reinholt Alexander Boelter or Alexander R. Boelter in some census.

I'm Douglas's grandson, Steven. Douglas's son is Gerald a.k.a. Jerry. Another hint who I am, I am deaf and used to be called Stevie when I was little.

She was married in Sep 1897 to John WEIDNER in ClarkCo, Wisconsin.

This is my Great-Grandfather &Great Grandmother. As far as I know they came from Prussa, then came to the United States and settled in Wisconsin where my Grandfather; Reinholt A. Boelter was born. I'm trying to find out any info on my Great-Grandparents,where & when they were actually born,who were their parents etc. My grandfather, Reinholt was born abt 1865 & died in 1947 & is buried with his wife Hattie at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Greenfield just south of Milwaukee,Wisconsin. Emil Boelter is my gr grandfather. I found marriage date, 11 February 1882 Detroit,Wayne ,Michigan. It lists the following : zu Stollechia, Provinz Posen, kreis Schobien, Rgby Bromberg.

Who was your Great Aunt? I had an Aunt Alice Boelter who first married a Schoemaker and then a man named George Graf. My father was Orville Boelter whose father was Reinhold. My dad was born in 1914. His two sisters were born much earlier than him. I know that their mother Hariett{?} was first married to Rayhold Boelter and had Lillian & then Alice. I guess he died & she married Reinhold Boelter and had my dad Orv late in life. I don't know how the men were related. Any help would really be helpful. My maiden name is Boelter, my father is Orville Boelter b:1914 in Wi. His parents are: Reinholt Boelter b:1865 in Wi, his mother Harriet b:1869. They are buried in Arlington Park near Milwaukee, Wi. In 1947 they lived in Wawatosa, Wi. I have found that his dad may have been Charles A. Born abt 1828 in Prussia. Charles was married to Whilhemina. If this is the same Alice, she was my Aunt. Her sister's name was Lillian. Their mom, i think remarried and had my father Orville E. Boelter born in 1914. I know Aunt Alice married a Schumacher & had children. I only remember meeting Doug when I was a child. My parents divorced when I was a baby. My mom's name was Etha A. Wilson. I also know that Aunt Alice remarried; his Name was George Graff. Please let me know if we are talking about the same person. She lived in Wi in or near Milwaukee.

I now know that my father was Orville E. Boelter. Born in 1914 his last wife is Marion-trying to find her. His dad was Reinolt or Rineholt A. Boelter born 1865 in Prussa. His wife was Wilemina born in 1833 in Prussa. Besides Rineholt, their other children were Amelia born in 1859 in Wis; Leniedta? born in 1861 in Wis, & Charles born in 1868 in Wis. I have been gathering information on the descendents of Teodor and Augusta (Graf) Boelter, who arrived in the USA in 1900 with their children Martha, Anna, Gustav, Elizabeth, Emma, Carl, and Harriet. They settled near Amboy, Minnesota. Hometowns in Germany we have been told include Wusik, Kroetz Vergits, and Wirsby. I have no idea where these towns or cities might be, given two world wars and the border changes that have occurred since 1900.

I am very interested in the history of the Boelter name and from what part of German-speaking Europe they came.

Judy, my g-g- grandmother was an Elizabeth Boelter, married to Carl Boelter who had children Emma, Wilhelmina "Minnie", Bertha, Gusta, and Julius. They are listed in my g-grandmother Emma's obituary. I can share with you what I know if you believe this to be the same family. Elizabeth and daughter Minnie immigrated here in 1896, they were from Province of Posen, Germany. I have some info on this family if you think they are related. Most resided in Pennsylvania but Elizabeth moved to Wisconsin with a daughter and husband after being her a few years.

I found no traces of this large family in Posen. Hohenwalde is a small village near Landsberg, where some Boelters were living, but I found no matching Wilhelm.
Euphrarasine seems to be a mistake, this name is totally unknown in Germany. Eva Rosine?
1880 Census shows names matching to the children of Wilhelm. What about this?

John C Boelter was born circa 1891 he married 9 Sep 1914 to Angeline Sylke (daughter to Martin Sylke and Elizabeth Ryk) The Boelter family were Lutheran and there had to be a dispensation for them to marry. His parents were Henry Boelter and Julia Miller (all of Milwaukee)
John died 27 Jul 1947 and is buried 30 Jul 1947 wife Angeline b 9 Mar1894 d 21 Nov 1958 daughter Emily Boelter b 1915 d 2005

I have tried to put all Boelters from Pommern, Prussia together. Sorted by name and birthplace(!) plus a clickable map. And a story about origin and history of the name Boelter - sorry, in German only. But if you'll accept my bad english I promise to answer to every question.

dont be ashamed. Your surname is around 1000 years old and has changed from Bolter (Great Britain) to Boelter in Germany (Pommern), which settled in USA from 1820 to 1880. But they were very fertile so you have make some inverstigations.

Looking for the PARENTS of Gustav Boelter born 1883 in East Prussia prob. Stadienberg, he married Bertha born 1881. Parents came from Pommern. Gustav had one sister only. Both married brother and sister of another family. Sorry, no more informations.
