Hi Margie,

It was interesting reading your post. I'm a descendent of Dutch Boeve's and there are many descendants that claim that the Boeve's are of Huguenot descent, but I've yet to see any proof.

Just thought I'd share my ancestry in case it helps in any way, or if you have any insights you could share.

Our family is from the Wapenveld area of Gelderland - traced back to the mid-1600's.

Lubbert Claesen, married in 1672, "of Wapenveld"
- Gerrit Lubbers, b. 1692 in Wapenveld, Gelderland, Netherlands
- - Herman Gerrits, b. 1722 in Wapenveld, Gelderland, Netherlands
- - - Hendrik Herms Boeve, b. 1762 in Hattem, Gelderland, Netherlands
- - - - Jan Boeve, b. 1804 in Heerde, Gelderland, Netherlands
- - - - - Hendrik Boeve, b. 1831 in Wapenveld, Gelderland, Netherlands
