Bogart & Olive Cox was born according to the 1850 census of Paulding, OH born abt 1847, your James could not be their son since he was born 4 years after the census, also on the 1850 census this James middle initial looks like a G. But our family was always told there was French Canadian in our family. Our connection is through the older Jesse W. Bogart listed on the 1850 census with William J. Bogart. I have found William J., George W. & Jesse W. living together also on the 1856 Jones Co.,Iowa State census. William J. married his 2nd wife Emily Wilson there on 21,Sept,1857. William J. was back in Paulding Co. by 1860 living with his wife Emily in Carryall,Paulding,OH. His brother George W. was also back in Carryall,Paulding,OH by 1860, Jesse W. went to Fillmore Co. MN & married Margaret Workman 16,Feb,1857 he lived & is buried there, we have a picture of his tombstone, it reads Jesse Wilson Bogart b. Oct 9,1821, d.Nov 18,1892 aged 81ys,1 mo, 8 ds. Jesse & Margaret had William G.,Sarah Sophia J.,Oleva Anaria,Jesse Eugene,Ezra Spalding, Minnesota M.(went by May),Infant son,Franky,George Jason,John Delmar,Mary Bertha(went by Mollie),I do have births & deaths of the children if you want them. George W. married 1st 25,Apr,1852,Paulding,OH Sarah Ann Sichty & had Elizabeth J Bogart b. 1853 m. 2nd Mary Ann D. Woodcocks,17,Mar,1855,Paulding,OH and had Benard B. b.1856 IA, George W. b 1859 OH, William J. b. 1861 OH, James E. b.1863 OH. & John b. 1871 IN George & family were living in Wayne,Hamilton,IN in 1870 & in White River,Hamilton,IN in 1880.
