I found your message regarding the Ohio Bogarts. I too have many Bogart relatives in the Ohio area. I see that your message is very old, but perhaps you will have some info on the family. My great grandfather is James Cox Bogart and was born Jan. 27, 1854. I believe his parents are William J. and Olive (Cox) Bogart. The family was living in Paulding County, OH when James was born. James also has the following siblings: Jesse Wilson Bogart, George A. Bogart, Rebecca Bogart and Catherine (Kate) Bogart. Father and son, William and Jesse both fought in the Civil War and William was killed abt. 1865 from an explosion of a shell. I also know that we have Canadian Bogarts as my Grandfather was one of the heirs of a Canadian fortune. His was the 8th generation to receive the money. He and his brothers never received it however as no one could agree who would be the one to make the trip to collect it. My Grandfather, Ernest Bogart and his brother William, had hired Harry Bogart, Att'y, the brothers nephew to represent the Bogart family in the case. If you know anything about this family, I would love to hear from you.
