John Bogdanoff - John Peter Bogdanoff, 88, a 48-year resident of Desert Hot Springs, died Feb. 11, 2006, in Palm Springs of kidney failure.

He was born April 28, 1917, to Peter and Sara Bogdanoff in San Francisco.

He married Mary Babishoff on June 22, 1939, in San Francisco.

He worked for a paper towel machine manufacturer for 20 years and served in the Army during World War II.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Bogdanoff of Desert Hot Springs; a daughter, Diane Murphy of Desert Hot Springs; a son, Dan Bogdanoff of Thermal; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services were held with burial at Russian Molokan Christian Cemetery in Los Angeles.

Arrangements were under the direction or Risher Mortuary in Montebello.
