I have been purusing the msg boards here for a while and have found many entries on Bohanon's, but have yet been able to find the link between them and the line of Bohanons' I am working on. I have been attempting to trace the male lineage of the family because, in experience it is the easiest to track since there aren't any name changes taking place. I was able to get as far back as the late James C Bohanon of Taylor KY, b.1860 d. 1935. That is where I have hit my dead end. The family bibles I have been able to look through are incomplete as far as the family lineage and I was far too young to be able to talk to my G/Grandmother Janie E Bohanon, wife of William R Bohanon, on such matters. Through a little research here I was able to make a possible match to James C Bohanon's father, Joel Bohanon, from the photocopy of James' death cert. I am looking for any help filling in the holes that I can get. I have been told by my late Grandfather Ardis E Bohanon, that the bulk of our lineage lies in KY. I know the Cox family of KY feeds into my family lineage by Janie E (Cox) Bohanon, my late great grandmother. Other surnames I have in the lineage are Eads and Walls. Eads by my late grandmother Flourence F (Eads) Bohanon, wife of Ardis E Bohanon. Walls by my mothers side. So in a nutshell I am looking for it all... I would love nothing more then to fill out the family lineage to its entirety for my remaining family. Thanks in advance.
