I know a lot have time has past since this was posted, but I am also researching the same Bohanon clan of which you speak. I married into it. The Elwood of which you speak (one of your uncle's) was actually named Francis Elwood and he was my husband's grandfather. Francis Elwood had 3 children - 2 boys and 1 girl (my husband's mother). They are all gone.
