Hello, my name is Renner Bohlke. My grandfather is Paul George Bohlke. My mom is helping her cousins with her family tree and I want to start tracking the Bohlke's & Renner's. I think I am a cousin.

I'm the great grand-daughter of Edna Bohlke. I believe one of Harry Bohlke's sons recently met my family. From what I was told, he was married to my great-grandma, left her for someone else, left that lady, and finally settled in Indiana. He had 4 kids with whomever he married before he died. Edna's daughters with him are Harriet, Caroline, Edna Lorraine, and Delores. Is this the same Harry Bohlke? I've been trying really hard to find out info because I have nothing from that line.

Thanks for the info. The book you referenced. Would that be "Luhring Memories". If so I have a copy. If not, I would be interested in information contained in it.

My dad's name is Glenn. My ancestry program has us as second cousins.

There is a Bohlke International Airways in the Carribean. I have never been able to find a link to that family. When I was in high school there was a Judy Bohlke in my class. I have not been able to find a link to her family either.

I have been to the Stumke's Corner cemetery a few years back. However, it was at dusk and I did not have a flashlight. I would like to get back there again someday.

Henry Bohlke born April 23, 1855 in Hamilton Co. Ohio (near Cincinnati Ohio). Carolina M Luhring born February 1855 Franklin Township Indiana. I believe this is a place near St Pauls Luthern church outside of Milan, Indiana. This location is called Stumke's Corner. They had 10 children 6 survived, Carrie died after giving birth to her 10th child, also named Carrie, on January 26, 1893. She was 37 years old.

The surviving children were: John Christian Bohlke 3/30/77
Henry F Bohlke 12/20/79
Frank H Bohlke 7/1/84
Gustav Whilhelm Bohlke 11/8/87
Elmer Martin Bohlke 4/15/91
Carolina Bohlke 1/26/93

Henry and Caroline moved to kenesaw Nebraska in 1881 (or so) and homesteaded next to their brother and sister John Luhring and Sopia (bohlke) Luhring who had move there in 1878. John and Sofia raised baby Carrie after her mother died during childbirth.

As the story goes Henry and Carrie were staying with another Lurhing relative in Marengo Ill (near Rockford) when John and Sofia told them that their neighbors has abandoned their homestead next to them.

Henry returned to Milan Indiana several time to visit his relatives.

I have much information on Henry & Caroline Luhring if you are still looking. Their surviving children were Frank, John, Elmer, Gustav, and Carrie. Since your last post was year 2000 I don't know if your still interested. Let me know.

My grandmother was gertrude bohlke, daughter of john and margaret of hamilton county, city of cincinnati. They were all born in Kentucky. I haven't had the time to trace john and margaret as yet but it sounds like we are talking the same family. I now that john's parents were from Hanover, Germany.

Hi Michael, Is your mother Florance Renner and grandparents George E. & Carrie Kelly Renner? If so my grandfather Henry George Renner was your mothers 1st cousins. I had heard that George and Carrie had moved to CA and with the census from Cincinnati I see they had one daughter. I would love to share information and pictures of your family. On the CA death index, it lists the mother's maiden name of Michael Paul Bohlke as "Roederma", when, it should be Ruttermann. I have bible records with the correct spelling.

I actually have nothing on the Bohlke line. I have Maas
in my family and August married a Maas and I am trying
to tie his wife and her family to my family. There was
only one or two Maas families in Lenawee Co besides
my family and I am hoping to find out if we are all connected.

I've just discovered that a relative of mine, Josephina Schadewald, married a Robert Bohlke and they resided in Blissfield during the 1930 census. They have three children: Martin, Donald, and Robert.

Is this part of your line?

Henry Bohlke was my great-grandfather. He was the father of Michael Paul Bohlke, and grandfather of Paul G. Bohlke (Torrrance, Ca) who just turned 90 years old....msb

Looking for the parents, children, and siblings of Harry Bolhke.Born January 19 1886. Died January 21 1959. He was a policeman in Hamilton county Ohio and is buried in Montgomery Ohio. He married Alma C. she was born 4/25/1899 and died 6/28/1982. I know he had one son named Harry. Possibly relatives in southeast Indiana.
