1880 US Census: Maryland: Baltimore City: Ward 17: Enumeration District 155: Dwelling 37: Family 56, enumerated 02 Jun 1870, shows John and Eliza living at 33 Randall Street with their children: Eliza, John D., Amanda and Anna; also Ludwick RIDDLE. John and his son were Cigar Makers.
I believe my husband, Vachel A. Downes III, is the 2nd great-grandson of Eliza, sister of John D. Bohlman. She married Paul Holley and they resided in Annapolis on Market St. not far from the Naval Academy. Paul Holley played in the Navel Academy Band. His wife, Eliza "Lizzie" is buried on General's Hwy. near Paul Holley.
