George W. Boice married Irinda (not Irene) Hough. She was the daughter of Joel Dayton Hough (my Great Grandfather's brother) who was born 1808 in Warrensburg, NY, and migrated to Canada and then Oakland County, MI. He and his wife Elsie Bennett had 8 children, only 3 of whom had families and only one (Irinda) who was still alive in 1887. I know the names of only 3 of the children.
In the 1880 census, George and Irinda Boice are living in the home of Joel Dayton Hough in Birch Run, Saginaw County, MI. It says George was born in MI, not Canada. The daughter Florence you mention was 10, and she has an older brother William, age 13.
I also found Florence (Mrs. H. G.) Walworth in Battle Creek, MI, founding a Ladies Auxillary chapter of the Order of Railroad Conductors in 1906. My family records say Joel Dayton Hough died after 1901, probably in Battle Creek, MI. Have not been able to substantiate this with official records.
Would be happy to hear from Boice/Walworth descendants, relatively close cousins.
