I found a name Michael Bois Clair, who served as an officer - the web site was at LSU in New Orleans.

There was a Michael Bois Clair in Agusta, GA, Mrs. Meadows said the plantation was burned by Sherman! It's now a resevoir. Has any body been to the site?

Also in 1956 there was a large article in a magazine I can't remember (but will find) on Chateau Bois Clair which Queen Elizabeth owned at the time. I now think it is a hotel/country club. I discussed this with Meadows. I think some of the messages are from her grandchildren.
