Oregon Republican League:

Republican League Register of Oregon, The Register Publishing Company, 1896, page 184.

BOISE, HON. R. P., of Salem, was born in Blanford, Massachusetts, in 1819, and graduated from Williams College in 1843. He was admitted to the bar in 1848, and in 1850 came to Oregon. He was chosen Prosecuting Attorney for the first and second districts in 1852 and re-elected in 1854. He was one of the Code Commissioners in 1854, and was also elected to the legislature that year and the constitutional convention in 1857, and that year was appointed Supreme Judge. He was elected chief Justice when Oregon was admitted, and in 1864 was again elected to the supreme bench. He retired in 1870, but was again elected in 1886.

Looking for information about Isabel(or Isabelle) Boise who married Matthew Greer abt 1800 in Ireland. They were both probably born in Ireland.

Family history relates:
"Matthew Greer (with his brothers, Charles and Joseph), and his wife, Isabel (Boise) Greer, arrived from Northern Ireland in 1822 with their children, Charles, Robert, Matthew, Margaret and Thomas. All children were born in Northern Ireland. Matthew, so family stories go, was reportedly from Glen Rock (I do not know if it exists today) County, Tyrone, Ireland. Upon the death of Matthew in 1834, Isabel and children Matthew, Margaret and Thomas went to Butler County, PA (south of Pittsburgh)."

Any further information about Isabel, Matthew or any of their siblings or descendants is appreciated.

This William and Mandy Farmer's family is found in the census for 1860 Gwinnett Co., GA, 406th District, Post Office Pinkeyerll (sp?), dated 23 Aug 1860, Page 185, lines 8-18, dwelling & family numbers 1051.

Their children are: Martha, George, Thomas, James, John, Lafayett, Laurett, & Mary. Can anyone tell me about this family? Who were William's parents and siblings? What is Mandy's maiden name? Is there a French connection with this family since two of the children were given french names? Where in SC did they come from? Is there a family relationship between the Farmer's and Mechack Boyse?

Thanks for any and all help on understanding this family better.

TJ

Proud Member of the:
FARMER Y-DNA Project,
http://www.familytreedna.com

Martha Boise - Prussia>Illinois>Nebraska

Martha Boise was my GGG Grandmother she was born October 1803 in Pomern Prussia (according to church records). She married Henry Kuiper born 1800 in Hanover, Germany. Martha and Henry had a daughter, Martha Kuiper born 1843 in Hanover, Germany. As far as I know, Martha and Henry came to the US in 1872 traveling with their daughter, Martha and her husband, Herman J. Franssen. The first known settlement was in Freeport, IL, then in 1880 they came to Nebraska. I have most of their line done to the present was wondering if anyone could help me with their past or siblings.

I will gladly share any information I have.
