OMG! I just found this! My paternal grandparents are also from Szumiacz, district of Turka. Stanislawow province, Galitzia, Turka, Ukraine.

I live in the US, in California. I was born in Buenos Aires. My father's family came from Turka. The exact place was called Szumiacz, in the district of Turka, in Galitzia.

My father's last name was Haberman and from my grandmother's, her parents were called Isaac (Izcor Aron) Kirszner & Male Entner.

I am thinking about traveling to the area later this year. Do you have any information about this? Them? Anything I could find there, and what is the easiest way to get to that area?

I know the area belonged to Poland before, in fact I still have my father's and my grand father's Polish passports.
