i have been building this tree for sometime and seem to be able to find ascendents and descendents rather easily..trying to verify the connection between Alexander and rush anderson in grayson county
seems Alexander married America Hash in 1885..but finding his parents and a firm connection is very difficult and any help would be overwhemling awesome

I think these are my Anderson ancestors too.
My information is slightly different, but it may be inaccurate. Where did you get your info?

The bottom line is the William Anderson branch of the family emigrated to 8th Line Fitzroy, Fitzroy Township (Ottawa Valley) around 1744 or 1745.

The earliest information I have is William Anderson, who (according to my grandfather) was born in Inverness Scotland Aug 17, 1716, married Mary Thompson (born Aug 6, 1819), bore 9 children: David, Samuel, John T, Mary, Margaret, Catherine, Hugh Allen, Elizabeth and Jane.
After Mary Thompson died on Feb 14 1766, William Anderson married Grace Goodwin.
My family history has that the William Andersons moved from Inverness to County Down Ireland in 1842. In fact their eldest son David Anderson was born aboard ship in Belfast Harbour on Jul 12, 1842.
I am descended from their second child, Samuel Anderson, born in County Down Ireland Nov 18, 1743.
Then the William Andersons moved to the Ottawa Valley and had the remaining 7 children there.

William Anderson was my great-great-great-grandfather, via his son Samuel, his son William Gilmour, his son Gilmour Ross and his son William Robert (my father).
My grandfather's surviving siblings still live in the Ottawa Valley and for the most part were/are farmers.

Unfortunately, I don't know anything about the family before they left Scotland or how long they really lived in Ireland (just a couple of years in the early 1840's or for a generation?). Any information you have to share would be appreciated.
