FREELING, Gloria J. (Griffith) 71, formerly of 1037 Boone St., Piqua, Ohio died at 7:40 a.m. Friday, October 12, 2012, at Heartland of Piqua.
She was born December 7, 1940, in Springfield, Ohio and was raised by the late Edith Cobb.
Gloria married Donald Bolden in September 1956 in Indiana; he preceded her in death on January 28, 1990.
Survivors include a son, Dante B. Bolden of Friendship, Wisconsin; two daughters, Tia P. Bolden of Piqua, Ohio Tamara J. Frazier of Sidney, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Jevonni Bolden, Kenisha Bolden, Marissa Bolden, Josh Bolden, Tyler Bolden, Keante Burns, Lekenyo "Fred" Burns; 17 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Thelma Harbour of Springfield, Linda Carr of Springfield, OH; and a brother, James Cobb Jr. of Ann Arbor, Mich. She was preceded in death by a sister, JoAnn Henry.
Gloria had attended Transformed Life Church, and retired from the Copeland Corporation of Sidney.
She was a member of the Bronzettes and the Birthday Club. She enjoyed bowling and had rolled a 300 game. She also enjoyed traveling, sewing, and crocheting, and will be fondly remembered as a people person. Gloria loved making people smile and laugh.
A funeral service to honor her life will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 16, at Transformed Life Church, with Elder Brian T. Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Monday at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home.
