My maiden name is Boldon. My father is Edward, grandfather is Raymond and my great grandfather is Alfred. I am seeking information on Alfred and his wife Viola. I am not having much luck in finding information on Viola. She had died at the age of about 46, but I don,t have a clue as to how she died, or about her life before she met Alfred and there life together. My grandpa never talked much about his family. Marcella J. (Rucker) Boldon, 78, passed away March 19, 2010, at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center.
A lifelong resident of Toledo, Ohio she was a lifetime member of Phillips Temple CME Church.
After raising her children, Marcella worked for the Headstart Program as a grandparent/teachers aide in the classroom.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Max Boldon Sr. and beloved granddaughter, Chantil Frais; three brothers and three sisters. She leaves to cherish her memory three sons, Max Boldon Jr. of College Park, GA, Ronald (Rosalind) Boldon of Hampton, GA, Steve Boldon of Detroit, MI; daughter, Denise Frais-Price of Toledo, OH, daughter-in-law, Stephanie Jean Spencer-Boldon; granddaughter, Nichelle Boldon-Andrews; special niece and nephew, Charles and Cynthia Rucker, niece, Verna Mae Toney; three great-grand-children and many friends.

Visitation will be Friday 3 - 6 p.m. followed by wake services 6 - 8 p.m., Dale-Riggs Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services Saturday 11:00 a.m. Phillips Temple CME Church, Pastor Chester Ricks officiant. Interment Historic Woodlawn Cemetery. www.dalefh.com

Do you have a male relative, living, named Boldon? If you do I would suggest that you join us on the Baldwin DNA Project. They can help match you to the correct family.

I am trying to find any ties to my gr-grandfather, John Henry Boldon, who purportedly originated in Virginia. He was orphaned and sent to an uncle in Canada, and ran away to cross Lake Erie and end up in Cleveland. The only information I have is dob: 10-20-1873, and that his parents were born in England. ANY help would be much appreciated!

I am sure that the Nathan you are looking for is John and Nancy's son. He was born in Forest Township, Vernon County, WI and the birth date is correct.

Looking for information on a Louella? or Lauretta Boldon/Baldon who married a Ernest Pilger. Lived in Ottertail County Minnesota.
She was born about 1880. I find that there were alot of Boldon's in Vernon County Wisconsin...not sure if this may be her family or not.
While searching for information on Otter Tail Genweb I found the following names that may offer clues.
Flora Boldon, Rupert Arbuckle, William and Ernest Pilger. These people were all living in Bluffton township.
If any of this sounds familiar I would appreciate your follow-up.

Are we related? My grandmother was Bessie G. Baldon, she had 7 sisters and 2 brothers. Her father was William Thomas Baldon(note spelling) came from my fathers birth cert. and also my parents marriage lic. His father was William L. Baldon and his mother was Phoebe Ann(Krauch) could be wrong, but would be helpful in searching. Thanks

Am searching info on a Samuel Bolden and a Margaret Love who died in Vernon Co. WI and are buried in the MT. Tabor Sherman Cem. Both were born in Pa, in1795 This could be the ones I'm searching.
