Bole of Grey County Ontario

I am looking for additional information on the Bole family that settled in Grey County, Ontario. They immigrated from County Down, Ireland in the early 1830's.
Any help would be appreciated.

I have a small booklet passed down to me. Included in this book is Roy Bole who married Goldie E. Wickham. They had 6 children: Mable Delight Bole (married Dallas Beavens & had 1 child - Dessel Eugene Beavens), Leroy Raymond Bole (married Opal Rinker & had 2 children - Thera Kay Bole & Raymond Dewayne Bole), Anna Louise Bole (married Willard Deardorff & had 1 child - Melba Joan Deardorff),Harley Lavon Bole (married Josofene? Kathy S. Oh I am just so excited to here this, I have been researching this man for ever and I have not found much about him. He is my 4G. Grandfather, and I have not been able to find out very much at all about his sibs and parents. I can not believe this I was ready to give up and believe he was born under a rock! I am research the Bole name and have run into a wall. Sampson Bole was born in PA abt. 1814, he moved to Morgan, Washington County Ohio, he married Lydia Farnham in 1834 in Roxbury Twp, Washington Co. Ohio. He was in the Civil War and died in a prison camp in Tyler TX in 1864. This is my ggggdfather, any information on him and his parents and sib, will be greatly welcomed.

I am searching for any information about my great grandparents James L. Lyon (Lyons) & Nell R. Bole (Boles). James was born in Virginia abt 1879 and died on 30 Jun 1966 in Bellaire, Belmont County, Ohio. His mother was Cornelia Gleason. Nell was born in West Virginia on 5 Jul 1881 and died on 14 Feb 1970 in Bellaire, Belmont County, Ohio. I believe her parents were William J Bole (Maryland) and Margaret Chapman (Ohio). James and Nell lived in Wheeling, West VIrginia and had three children: Margaret, Kathryn Cornelia & Robert. James was employed as an insurance agent for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. Any information would be wonderful

I don't know where he died but most of the family stayed in Coles Co or Edgar Co IL. One brother, Thomas T. died in Liberal, KS.

We just traveled to Il. from Tacoma, WA to straighten out a family mystery. Do you know anything about Benjamin's marriage to a Mary Strader in 1854 in Coles Co. Il? Was she married before? We think she could have been Mary Adams and if you know his age or his circumstances it would help us to eliminate him as a possible Alias, that has surfaced in our family tree. Did you ever get any info on the Bole family...my grandmother was Rachel Eleanor Bole ( CW Heppenstall, spouse ) from Beaver or Beaver Falls, Pa.....I know nothing about the family as my grandmother died when my mother was about 13 I think . My mother was born in 1907 in Pittsburgh and at some point her parents divorced when mother was young...

Hi - My Maternal Grandfather was Ellis Clay Bole, born in 1902. I'm not sure where he was born, but I know he lived in Hot Springs, AR. for at least part (maybe all) of his life. His father was Manuel Bole.

It appears to be the same family as my husbands. Hiram was sister to my husband's gr-grandmother Rebecca. I have not been able to go beyond George's father William. You can see information, and pictures, that I have at www.golocal.com/misc/genealogy (George & MaryAnn are even on my homepage). Any information to help fill in the blanks would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Kathy! My husband's great-great grandfather was George Washington Bole (b: 1826 Athens Co., OH), s/o William Bole (b: 1802 PA). This is as far back as we have been able to get. I was wondering, by chance, if either of those names appeared as decendents or relation to Sampson? Thank you so much for this glimmer of hope!

In 1984, Mrs. Mary Bole of Lakeway Blvd., Lethbridge added the surnames she was researching to the OGS surname listing.
It appears she was researching the same family that I am now researching, that of Pierce and Julia Grace from County Mayo, Ireland but I fear I am too many years from 1984 to find her.
There is no listing for Mary Bole at this address in Lethbridge.
If there is anyone out there who could help me it would be greatly appreciated.

I have ALOT on this family. His father Thomas J. Gilliland was a Captain in the Revolutionary War serving under General George Washington. My uncle Jim has worked on this for more than 30 years.

Later they appear on the Washington, Des Moines, Iowa 1870 census as James and Margaret E Boal.

Their children are Sarah, John, Mary Jane, David, Joseph D., and (unreadable).

I dont know if it is relevance to you but my name is Daniel Bole. My grandfather was born in Belfast Ireland in 1916. I asked about our sur name and he didnt have all that information except that his father had told him that it was originally Boyle or some variation of the last name. There was some sort of a dispute in the family and the name was changed to Bole
