My portion of the Bolin/Bolens is from Yelly Bolen ; George Washington Bolins Brother. As the family story goes Yelly was Cree[k] and Cherokee according to what my father told my younger sisters mother. She and I are both doing research on this, any assistance would be gratefully accepted.
Lucy Saunders was supposed to have been a mix blood Cherokee according to our "family whispers" over the generations. On one of the federal rolls my great grand and her mother are listed as Cherokee. They were GGma was Louisa J. Bollin ; her daughter Leila J. Bolin married to Ellis .
