I am trying to find my great-great-great-grandmother's parents, as they are not listed in any of our family's geneology. Mollie was said to have been full Cherokee indian, but we cannot say for sure as we cannot confirm her parentage and at birth she was registered as white.
Her maiden name was listed as Bolen. She married Norton William Spurgeon (or Samuel Norton Spurgeon).

I do belive we are related. My Grandfather was David Earl Bolen. My Greatgrandfather was Charles Turner Bolen. My Dad was Edward Turner Bolen. I am a Canadian. The rest of the family except Uncle Will stayed in the States, I think.

My Grandfather was David Earl Bolen. My Grandmother was Anne( Davies) Bolen . They had 5 boys, Edward Turner (my Dad),David ... John...Benjamin....Donald. The other Bolens in your note are also family.

Lydia has alternately been shown to have been born in 1806 Missouri and 1809 Illinois; perhaps there are two Lydia's. The one I am looking for married Thomas Franklin Dennis in possibly Johnson County, Arkansas in abt 1825. Their children were John H. Dennis, Henry Bolen Dennis, Martha Dennis, George Dennis, Lucinda Dennis, Thomas Dennis, Colby Dennis, Matthew Dennis and Baron DeKalle Dennis. I am looking for information on Lydia Bolen's parents and siblings. I have seen one line that has a Lydia the right age, the Nathan Bolen line I have seen mentioned on this Bolen board.

Hello,
My family line is connected to Joshua Bolen through his first wife, who was a Sumner. They had one son, Elisha Bolen. After Joshua's first wife died, he married Nancy Holliday, and his other children are from this marriage. Joshua was an overseer on a plantation on Little River in Floyd Co., Va. When the owner (Hewett) sold out and moved west, Bolen, Hewett's stock & slaves, went with him (Mount View area of Raleigh Co., West Va.) Bolen acquired a tract of land on Stone coal creek at Pickshin, WVa. He Died there. Nancy lived out her days with her daughter Roena & John Cole and is buried in the Kelly Cole graveyard at Odd, West Va.

Im not sure if the name is spelled correctly, but she would have lived in Califonia in 1962 or 61. She would have known a L.Greg Carter, "Nell""Mary Nell""Marion" Barentine, and Known Gregs' brother. She supposedly worked for them and Lived on the property. The babies name is Gina Beth Carter, but I think the name changed so the bio. Couldnt find her later. Birth Cert shows Gina was born in los angeles county.

I am seeking any information on the parents of my 4x great grandfather James Bolen.

I believe he was born in England but was in Nanticoke,Pennsylvania in 1835 (his son Samuel Bolen was born on oct 22 of that year. Samuel died on feb 5 1908 in Pennsylvania.)

James was married to Mary Womelsdorf (1806-1881) daughter of Samuel Womelsdorf (1775-1827, born in Berks, PA)and Mary Fryer.

Samuel Bolen was married to Catherine Dennis (b. 1844, Plymouth, Luzerne, PA) and was the father of James Bolen (1865-1949, lived whole life in Plymouth,Luzerne,PA)

I apologize for lack of personal info on James Bolen (the elder) and would also appreciate any help on attaining such information.

Any info on his parents or on himself, is, again, greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hello, Just starting to look for family. Now I know our family lived in Besoco, WV, Raleigh Co. My grandmother's name was Myrtle (Lilly)Atkinson, spouse John Samuel Atkinson. My aunts and uncles aren't sure but my aunt Relda remembers her mother telling her she was named after her grandmother who she believes was named Relda Jane (Bolen) Lilly. That is as far as I am presently able to get. If you have info that would be great.
