All I have on this line is that James Madison Boling
was born on 12/25/1858 in Rutherford Co., TN
along with a twin sister Mary Maude Boling.

The parents died prior to the 1860 census and
the children were farmed out.

There was an older brother named Frank.

On James Madison Boling's death certificate,
his 3rd wife listed "A." Boling as his father.

On the 1850 census for Rutherford County I find
no Bolings but do find the family name BOLIN, including
an Alexander Bolin who could be the right age
to have been the father. Also in 1850 there
was another BOLIN male of the same age on a
farm adjacent, maybe another set of twins?

Beyond this I have no other information.
