That man was a drunk and his son is a drug addict who ran his wife and children out of town. Nothing good about hurting women and children. Doesn't even know where his children are or what they look like. Bryan makes drugs in his front yard while his family prays for him and neighbors call the law. A true lost cause. If he'd simply kick the bucket like his father his children would come home but with him still living there is no chance in hell of that one! They are finaly safe happy and rid of his sorry ass forever.
My great grandfather was Clayton Thomas Boling who was brother to Lowery and Mitchel Boling. I have them in Banks County Georgia in the 1860's. And then I have Lowery and Clayton Thomas in the 1870 census. I believe that we are related. Have you been able to break the mystery of their father William Boling and his wife Mary Boling and where they came from. There are two William Bolings with wives named Mary at this time. Each with a large group of kids. Any information you have been able to procur prior to this would be appreciated. Kim

Hi,

I live in Cherokee Co., GA. My GGGG grandfather was Jarrett Bowling from Tazewell Co., VA. I have been told that the Boling line that is in this area, and North GA, are descendants of Jarrett Bowling. Do you have any information which could help me find out if this is in fact true? I am new at genealogical research, but thoroughly enjoying it. I never knew I had any connection to the North GA area Boling's until starting my research. Please contact me at wcboling5_12_01@msn.com if you would be willing to share your information on the Boling line in Cherokee Co., GA. I am more than happy to share what I have on my respective line and Boling family connections. Thanks, William C. Boling

I was told the womans name was carol boling. She was young and couldnt care for the child. Given to marion nell barentine and greg carter. It shows a baby boling on birth certificate not much more info than that. It happened July 20 1962. By the looks of me she would have been indian or mexican.

I found that my grandmother is a Bolin, boling, bowling, bolen, etc. to make a long story short, she was having an affair with either my grandfather(L. Greg carter or his brother. The child was a girl named Gina Beth Carter in los Angeles, Ca. Her first name is carol. Not sure about the correct spelling. (carroll, etc) Have heard she may have been very young and hired on as help. The baby was adopted my Marion Nell Carter, the upset wife that was getting cheated on. If you have any information, please let me know.

I am looking for information on Green and Audray/Ordira Boling/Bowlin. They were the children of John Bolin who was originally from Chatham County. Green was mareiwd to my 5th Great Grandma Sarah Fields. He died prior to the 1850 census and was born around 1820. His sister Audray was married to Sarah's second husband, Charles Overby. She too died from the time she got married until the 1850 census. Any help would be greatly apprectiated.

It's 3 yrs later, but hope you see this. Yes, I believe James H (A) is William & Mary's son. I found a tombstone which was broken in half, laying on the ground and barely legible in the Hightower Baptist Cemetery, Cherokee Co with the following: In memory of, JAMES A BOLING BORN Sept 23rd 1827 Departed this life Feb 18th 1852 age 25 years _ months and 26 days. In the Census the name is James H but I believe they are the same person. There is a brother, William H, living near William and James in the 1850 Census His age indicated he was born in 1829. If you have information about this family I would appreciate hearing from you: bolhal54@sbcglobal.net

In the 1850 Census of Cherokee Co there is a William H Bowling age 21 married to Cinderilla age 16. I believe he is the son of my gggrandfather.....dates fit. I have found a Cinderilla "Riller" Sartor (Sarter) as the daughter of Johnson and Elmina Sartor in Family Search. She is married to William "Billy H" Boling, Cherokee Co and later to Riley Bramblett. Records note she is buried at Conn's Creek Church Cemetery. I'm wondering if maybe William H Bowling is also buried there. Some members of Cinderilla's family is buried at Mica Baptist Ch Cemetery. Thanks for any help.

I, too, would like any information you have on the Bolings in Virginia. Our family tree goes through Virginia and up into Pennsyvania. Our original family name was either Borland or Boreland from Scotland.

Right now I am stuck in North Carolina with William Boling. We suspect that he left Virginia and farmed in North Carolina for about thirty years. We know that he had a son, Harbard, who married, Amy ??. She, too, was born in North Carolina. They moved to Owen County, Indiana in the late 1830's.

Any help is much appreciatd.

Thank you,

Gene Bolin
hobo3818@yahoo.com
Hi,

Thank you very much. I will check the e-mail account for your message. I went up to Hightower Baptist Church earlier today and took pictures of the church and cemetery. I found several Boling grave sites. I did take pictures of J. Lowery Boling grave marker in case you do not have one. I will be more than happy to forward it to you via your regular e-mail account.

I took pictures of all the Boling grave sites I could find. I also took pitures of many other grave sites, especially the older ones that I could make out.

The church is very beautiful and well cared for. It was constructed c 1840. The cemetery was extremely well taken care of. It was fascinating to go there and view the graves. One more piece of my puzzle added. Thanks! William C. Boling

Hi! My name is Carla (Boling) Carmichael, and my father was Carl Henry Boling (born on 1-5-1917), brother of Gleason Harrison Boling and son of William "Shade" Boling and Edna Wilson. There was also a bother Lester, a brother Clarence and a brother Joe. There were also sister's Dora Lee, Betty, Shirley and Jewell. I have not been to Tennessee since I was 16 (I'm 54 now) and my Dad passed away a few years ago at the age of 83. My Dad did talk of his family being called "Black Dutch", a euphemism now linked to Melungeon ancestry. He also spoke of his family being "Jewish" at some point in the past, but never elaborated on that. The Boling family had very striking features...ruddy complexions, a shock of dark hair, tall, with chiseled features and prominent noses. My dad was very dark complected and at age 83 had very few wrinkles on his skin. I myself am fair-skinned like my mom was, but I have some physical features like my dad: shovel teeth, and a ridge at the base of my skull...both notable signs of Melungeon descent. Write me, if you would like to. Would be good to touch base with a "Boling" relative!
