Boyd S. Bolinger, 75, of New Cumberland, died Friday, July 11, 2008 in Select Specialty Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp.
He was retired from the Quaker Oats Company, Shiremanstown and was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Community United Methodist Church and the American Legion Post 143, both in New Cumberland.
Mr. Bolinger was born in Orbisonia, PA, to the late Banks M. and Ethel B. (Schmittle) Bolinger. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Isabel Shoop and Dorothy McMullen.
He is survived by his wife, Ann L. (Mills) Bolinger; his daughter, Vicki Ann Bolinger of Camp Hill; his son, Brian Keith Bolinger and wife, Valerie of Wyalusing, PA; two grandchildren, Madisyn B. Bolinger and Ty Space; and several nieces and nephews.
His hobbies included hunting, woodworking, listening to his granddaughter play the piano, and enjoying the good times he had on the tractor.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at 12 noon in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Burial with military honors will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Hanover Twp. Viewing will be one hour prior to services Wednesday in the funeral home.
