Does anyone have any information on an Abraham Bolinger from Bedford County PA? My gGrandfather John Bollinger was born in 1823 in Bedford, PA and the only Bolinger/Bollinger that I find there in that time frame was an Abraham. He is in the census listings for 1820, 1830 and 1840. The other Bollinger listed in 1850 was a Jacob and Elizabeth Bolinger (both from Switz) who had a son named Alexander (age 8). In the 1870 census record for Webster County Missouri, an Alexander Bollinger from PA age 27 was living with John. Alexander's obituary lists his birth as Bedford,PA. Another census lists both of Alexander's parents from Switzerland. Looking for a possiblity that Abraham and Jacob were brothers and that Abraham might be my gg-grandfather. According to another census,John's father is listed as from Switzerland and his mother from PA.
