William Henry Ellis Bollen came out to Australia with his wife Mary Ruth Sweet and son William Henry Bollen in 1874, per Felicity Bollen of New Zealand. William Henry Ellis Bollen was the illegitimate son of Caroline Bollen, b. Jan 10, 1821 in Yeovil, Somerset, England. She was the daughter of George Bollen, b. 1785 and Hannah Pook, b. Mar. 31, 1794 in Lopen, England. Hannah was the daughter of John Pook and Eunice Denman.

One might assume that William Henry Ellis's father's last name was Ellis, but there's no way to know.

Most of my information is available on www.familysearch.org. For example, to find all children of George and Hannah, just put in their names in the parent section. in the responses, go down to the pedigree resource file, and you will see all their children. Their daughter, Elizabeth Ellen Bollen is my ancestor.

Some of the censuses listed William Henry Ellis Bollen as their son, however, he was actually their grandson. If you have any other questions, email me at marvels4@juno.com
