BOLLER family - Colmar area in Alsace, France

I am looking for the family of Madgalena / Madeleine BOLLER, b 20 Aug 1821 in the Colmar area of Alsace, France.

The photo says either Müntzenheim or Wünzenheim (Winzenheim?) as her birth place.

Müntzenheim is more likely as it is nearer to Andolsheim where she married Nicolas GANTZ, 1821 - 1866. The GANTZ children were: Julia GANTZ, Madeleine GANTZ, Catherine GANTZ, Salome GANTZ, Mathias GANTZ, Barbe Signe Babette GANTZ, Sigismond GANTZ, Marie GANTZ, Louise GANTZ, all born between 1845 - 1866.

This branch of the Boller family ended up in Grant County, Indiana outside of Marion. They are buried in various cemeteries around Grant County. William is in my husband's line. The Boller family has owned cattle/dairy farms in Grant County for many generations. My father in law George Steven still owns the family farm. My husband has been researching and we have been able to trace back to James Boller (Buller in some records) in Guernsey County Ohio. The Pughs are mostly buried in the IOOF Cemetery in Marion and in Van Buren along with the Bollers. My husband's grandfather is Francis.

Looking for any information on Theodore Boller born in Germany abt 1859, died 1937 in Lafayette, IN. They had 2 known children, Mary Otilda "Tillie" Boller and George Boller... and possibly a third born in Germany - Margarethe. Mary Otilda married my grandfather, Fred Aveline. The Boller family is a huge hole in my genealogy. Any information would be appreciated.

I have an original studio photograph of “Geo. W. Boller – 1538 W. Lake St.”, which I’d like to get back to descendants or family members. Photo was taken in about 1915, in Chicago, and he looks about 50 years old.

I found George W. Boller in the 1900 Chicago census, with DOB Aug 1867 IL, living with wife Pauline, DOB Jan 1876. In 1910, he was age 45, she was Pauline E., 33, and they had 4 children.

My name is Samuel Boller. I believe I come from the same Christian Boller line as yourself. From my very limited knowledge Christian Boller emigrated to Kansas via Canada from Bern, Switzerland. I believe he had two families. Marie Schmidt was his second wife and I believe she was of German descent. As far as I know Christian had a few children one of them being Samuel John Boller, my great-grandfather. Samuel had one son Jack Boller, my grandfather. Jack had seven children in all with the oldest son being my father John and then came myself. So, Christian would be my great-great grandfather. I have never met him but I did meet Samuel (Christian's son) before he died. He lived in Newton, Kansas before his death.

I currently live in Denver, Colorado. I would appreciate any information anyone has on the subject, but I believe our family lines are the same. Nice to meet you!

Oh yes, I believe Christian had another son named Walt who was killed or wounded in World War II. Walt and Sam (Christian's sons) also had a feud for some years concerning some cow bells that were brought over from Switzerland when Christian emigrated. Just some of the stories I have heard through the years.

Hi. My name is Brad McMasters. I am the great-great grandson of John Fredrick Boller, Sr. from Kanderstag, Switzerland (b March 11, 1847). His son JFB, Jr. was the father of my grandmother Elanor Ruth Boller who was the mother of my father Russell Lorraine McMasters.

Searching for parents and siblings of William Boller, b. June 29, 1867, grew up in Wyoming Co., NY, d. 1949 in Nelson, Tioga Co., PA. Married 1896 in Nelson to Inez L. Hoyt (1871 - 1934), dau. of Wm. Hoyt and Phebe Campbell. He had 2 sons, one died unnamed; and William Hoyt Boller (1907 - 1908). One of Wm. Boller's brothers was John Boller. I believe the family was in the cheese business in western NYS. Some one came to the Nelson cemetery a year or two ago looking for his grave. Anyone know of these Bollers?

Margaretha d. 9 Mar 1904. I have nothing on the parents of Barbara or Diethelm.

I'm sorry, I think we have two different families. My Boller (or Boeller) family came from Rasdorf in Hesse. If I see anything that looks promising on your line, I will post it.

Hi, my grandfather Emil Boller was born in Wissembourg, Alsace Lorraine, Bas-Rhin, France/Germany in 1891. His mother Ann Marie Julg was also born there. My granfather came to Ellis Island in 1919 and settled in NJ about 1921. I haven't been able to find much more about Emil so any help would be wonderful.

My little family, my mother Valija, my father Karlis Tomsons and myself came to this country in 1950 with the help of a group of Bollers from Idaho and we were sent to live with Sam and Mary Boller in Abilene Kansas. Hello Howard, my daughter sent me to this site. My name is Lewis Murray Boller Jr. (Bud), my dad was Lewis Murray Boller, Sr, his dad was Lindley Murray Boller. Lindley Murray married Grace ?? and traveled west on a wagon train to Ft. Collins, Colorado. If any of these names cross match with your side of the Bollers, please let us know. I have Bollers in my family line. Gilbert's father Otto was born 28 Jun 1887 in Ontario; he married Delina Munroe around 1910. Otto's father was Joseph Boller, born in Germany in 1846; Otto's mother was Elisabeth Classen, born 1852 in Germany.

Otto's sister Margaret was my great-great grandmother.

My ancestor is Christian Boller, born 8 Jan 1850 in Switzerland. According to his eldest child and my great grandmother, Susie, he was one of 11 children. Only had one sister who I believe was named Susan. The brothers names I know are: Samuel, Gillian, Gottfried and John Frederick born in 1847. We are seeking anyone who might be connected to our BOLLER line. Want to learn more and would be more than willing to share what we have and know at this point. Siblings of this line are:

Christian Boller born 8 Jan 1850 in Switzerland and died 07 Mar 1909 in Halstead, KS. Married to Katherian Trachsel. Later married the relative that came to America, Marie Schimdt. He brought his wife and two young daughters along with another family member in Oct of 1881. They first settled in Canada and later in 1892 are in Michigan, US and then onto Superior, NE, USA and then went to KS, USA. They lived in Troy KS as well for a time. Have some photos of the family taken while there.

Susan Boller unknown birthdate in Switzerland. Married a Jacob Garber. We think that they lived in KS some, definitely Superior NE and moved onto Maryland.

John Frederick Boller born 11 Mar 1847 in Switzerland and died in 1928 in Idaho. He also immigrated in 1881. Married to Susanna Mutzenberg. He and his family lived in Salina, KS where 3 or 4 children were born before heading to ID around 1891.

Gottfried Boller born 8 feb 1867 in Switzerland and died in 1942 in California. As far as I know he never married and may have come to the States in 1885 bringing his father.

Samuel Boller who we believe stayed in Switzerland.

Gillian Boller who left Switzerland and ended up in Russia I believe. Had a daughter Katerine who I believe was born in 1883 in Switzerland.

Would love to learn more about this family and be more than willing to share what we have and know at this point. Thanks!

I am researching my great-grandmother Emelie Boller. I think her parents are Jacob and Mary Boller. Found them on the 1880 census in Colorado. They came to San Franicisco I dont know what year and Emelie married a Tyrrell.

As a matter of fact, only a few days ago, I learned the story of Sam helping relatives to come over to the states. I would love to share information and/or photos! Sam and Susie (my great grandmother) were children of Christian Boller.

Lindley Murray Boller is the son of John and Rachel (Tippey) Boller. Grandparents are Adam and Ruth (Atherton) Boller.
John was born 24 Nov. 1844 in Guernsey Co., Ohio. The family came to Grant Co., Ind. He died 11 Mar 1916 in Fort Collins, Colorado.

I am looking for this lady. I am unsure of the last name spelling. She is sister to my maternal grandfather Theodore Fredrick Jensen. My mother only met her a few times. The Jensens are supposedly from Iowa. Theodore had at least one other sister Margaret Agnes Jensen Wintermute, and one brother John (Johann) Hannes Jensen. If you are related, and have any info on the Jensens, I would appreciate it. I know nothing of Theodore's ancestry.

My mother's mother was a Boller. She was born 1883, 9th of July perhaps in Switzerland. She was in Russia when she married Ewald Heidemanis a Latvian. They moved to Latvia after the Revolution with my mother - I was born there. When we were refugees in Germany after WW2 - several Boller families sponsored us to come to US. We lived with Sam and Mary Boller in Abilene Kansas for a brief moment in 1950 Looking for my relatives and my grandmothers birthplace?

My grandfather Giovanni Boller born in MATARELLO near trento in italy had 2 brothers Enrico and Luigi, and a sister named Giuseppina. Luigi migrated with his wife in USA but from what I know they didn't have any children.
Since ages we didn't have any more news from them.
Maybe some other Boller's in USA has infos from them.
Everything would be apreciated.
